White was not a primary ball handler for us. At times, when we were pressured in the back court, White would be an outlet if we needed help. In those situations, White handled the ball well enough to advance it to the front court. Rarely had an issue. I hope he handles the ball well enough to assume more responsibility, and if his game grows in that area, he might. But I'd prefer if we didn't have to count on it.

Whether or not he actually brought the ball over the time line, White certainly did create a fair amount of offense against Xavier in the BET and then again against EWU in the NCAA. I hope and expect to see more of that next year. The Xavier BET game was really the one game in which White played some form of lead guard for an extended period of time. He ran the offense from the top of the key vs. their 1-3-1 during the second half comeback, and he did a great job. But his work in this game consisted mostly of moving the ball quickly to the right player, and shooting over the zone. I don't think we would want to see White trying to break down a guard off the dribble vs. man defense on a regular basis. He may be skilled enough to play a few minutes of PG in a pinch here or there, but that probably is not a plan we would want to depend on as a regular part of the offense.

And nobody is advocating that he try and break down guards off the dribble versus the man...

Article is two months old. Nothing earth shattering, we're trending down slightly but young and talented, etc. etc.

LOL serious or not. on you lineup link.
I do agree and its the key to what kind of team we have next year.
I'm a little concerned by this comment. " "That's the good thing about next year's team. I think we're going to have competition at every spot."
Not sure there's much if any competion in the backcourt
Thank god we have the extra practices and the time in Italy
Not to burst any early lofty expectations but.. we could easily have 3 osses before thanksgiving.

We could also have 0 losses... haha... In all seriousness those who have those expectations are probably looking more to March than December...

www.csnbaltimore.com/ncaa-maryland-terps/terp-hoya-invited-team-usa-training-campPeak started and finished his freshman campaign with Georgetown in style. The electric 6-foot-5 swingman scored 23 points on 9 of 9 shooting in his collegiate debut against St. Francis (Brooklyn). In the Hoyas' final game, Peak had 18 points against Utah in the NCAA Tournament. Starting throughout the season, he finished with averages of 7.9 points and 2.3 rebounds. Expect those numbers to rise as Peak and the other members of Georgetown's sophomore class, including forward Isaac Copeland take on leading roles. Here is the complete list of camp invitees who are also returning gold medalists: Isaiah Briscoe (Roselle Catholic H.S./Union, N.J.) Jalen Brunson(Stevenson H.S./Lincolnshire, Ill.) Terrance Ferguson (Homeschooled/Flower Mound, Texas) Harry Giles (Wesleyan Christian Academy/Winston-Salem, N.C.) Josh Jackson (Prolific Prep, Calif./Southfield, Mich.) Diamond Stone (Dominican H.S./Milwaukee, Wis.) Caleb Swanigan (Homestead H.S./Fort Wayne, Ind.) Jayson Tatum (Chaminade College Prep/St. Louis, Mo.) Allonzo Trier (Findlay Prep, Nev./Seattle, Wash.) Seventh Woods (Hammond School/Columbia, S.C.). MORE TERPS: DEZ WELLS COMPLETES 4TH PRE-NBA DRAFT WORKOUT And the rest of the camp roster: Tyus Battle (St. Bernard's School/Edison, N.J.) Justin Bibbs (Virginia Tech/Dayton, Ohio) Brekkott Chapman (Utah/Roy, Utah) Vince Edwards (Purdue/Middletown, Ohio) Jawun Evans (Kimball H.S./Dallas, Texas) Riley LaChance (Vanderbilt/Brookfield, Wis.) T.J. Leaf(Foothills Christian H.S./Lakeside, Calif.) Silas Melson (Gonzaga/Portland, Ore.) Malik Monk(Bentonville H.S./Lepanto, Ark.) Chinanu Onauku (Louisville/Lanham, Md.) Eric Paschall(Villanova/Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) L.J. Peak (Georgetown/Gaffney, S.C.) Malik Pope (San Diego State/Sacramento, Calif.) Thomas Welsh (UCLA/Redondo Beach, Calif.).

Putting aside the incoming class, I think we are going to be pretty nasty next year just with what we are returning. Peak really showed me in the Utah game that he can be a force in the backcourt. DSR as a senior I expect big things. Copeland will be nasty good. Paul White and Tre? Significant jumps expected there too. That's a load of athletic talent with different strengths across the board. If our early season schedule wasn't so stacked, I would say 24-ish regular season wins wasn't outside the realm of possibility. But I think we get 20 wins no matter what with good momentum for the BE tourney.
