I thought the offense was great today. I haven't read the thread but I'm sure it was a bunch of we are taking too many 3s. Creighton was playing pack line D. That's all that was there really. Open 3s and long 2s. When we went in that scoreless stretch most of those looks from 3 were wide open. Surprised you categorized the offense as "great". Creighton is horrid. They are ranked number 171 in the nation in defense and we scored 67 points, against a team shooting bricks. The offense was great against Nova and maybe Marquette. Adequate makes more sense to me, in this one.

I read the thread after watching the game....
Nostradamus is not among us.
Also loved the 3 point shooting bashing of the leading 3 point shooter (%)n on the team.

As long as we are taking good shots I am happy

To my eyeballs, the offense looked very average. Might be time to grab a couple of beers and move on to the next one for me!

I don't think we were great, but it's sort of hard to complain or judge our offense too harshly in a game like this. We were basically on cruise control for an hour.

I think we gave up alot of open 3-pointers because they were clanking shot after shot, so it was a calculated decision to contract our D until they hit a few; by the time they did, the game was well in hand.

We should all thank SFHoya and the gang for commandeering CenturyLink and willing our men to victory!

Were just more talented. Kinda surprised at this thread -- i get creighton isnt great but twenty seven points on the road is twenty seven points.

Great win! Team did what they needed to...play defense, rebound, and not turn it over. Check the box.
First half we missed a ton of open shots but that's why you play 40 minutes. Shots started dropping and this thing was in the bag.
Josh Smith had a terrible game although he had a few hustle plays that I do recognize (e.g. Diving to the floor for the loose ball). I get that Creighton's game plan was to limit his touches close to the basket by double and triple teaming him, but Josh needs to work harder at getting better position. Just felt liked he mailed it in today.
Hopefully Paul White starts playing better. I don't think he even played in the second half. Guy needs to tighten up his defense/rebounding and move better without the ball. Glad coach benched him.
DSR looked like BEPOY.
Hopkins had some classic misses down low today but he had a really good game. When he doesn't force it I really like what he has been doing lately on offense.
I actually said at one point early in the first half that we should put Bowen in. Never in my life would I have thought that would be something I would say. Glad he has really improve his game.
Even though the crowd was quiet this game, man what I wouldn't give to have those kind of attendance numbers.

Every road win in the league is a great road win. Even better that the game was not really in doubt and the guys were all business today. I was happy with the effort I saw, and holding a team to its worst performance ever in their home building is a big deal, even if CU is in the midst of a down year. The Hoyas should feel good about the bounce back game and prepare for a revenge game against PC. Good to see DSR play well throughout the game. Josh is just inconsistent, that is his most consistent quality. He gets flustered by the double teams and is prone to dumb fouls. I just hope he brings his game against PC, since I think he sensed the team did not need him at his best today.
Nice, drama free win today, I will be more than happy to take it!

3-2 on the road in this league? That's an excellent start, even if the 3 have come against the bottom RPI teams in the conference. I did not think 5-4 on the rod was in reach, but if we can figure out how to make shots at home for once, a 13-5 conference record is within reach. Have to take care of Providence before the house money no-expectations game at Nova. I get that the expectation was never that we win at nova but there may be a lot on the line. Certainly more than I had imagined at the start of the season.

No Bell curve used here.

How can anyone complain with a 27-point win on the road in this league this season? Separately, 15-6, 7-3 as January comes to a close is pretty damn good. Hard to argue with that.

Could not get the game on TV. It seems as DSR got off early scoring 24 pts. Is that true? I think that is the key going forward. He has to get involved early and often in order to loosen the nerves of the freshmen. When the upperclassmen can get off early scoring , the freshmen play better. Unfortunately Jabril and Josh are usually hindered by a sagging zone, that does not allow driving the lane or Center to touch the ball. Therefore DSR has to do the hard work on offense early.

Query: When was the last time GU won a basketball game without any fast break points? That is a bizarre statistic from today's game.

I think the best thing to come out of this game was potentially Reggie Cameron getting it back on track. He hit a tough runner and looked like it brought his confidence back. I think 3 should increase his minutes against proviie.
