Brown, who stands just over 7-feet tall, was sensational in Briarwood (N.Y.) Archbishop Molloy’s win over St. Stephen St. Agnes, scoring 20 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and blocking seven shots. “I’ve been training a lot on my mobility and it’s just staying healthy and just feeling better on the court,” Brown said. “It’s helping me jump around a lot.” Brown already ranks as the No. 32 overall prospect and No. 3 center in the 2018 class, but he’s looked primed for a rise in the rankings. Brown said he’s trying to show a more advanced game this season. “Really my versatility, shooting 15-footers and not just being a post up big man,” he said when asked what he was trying to prove this season. www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1736560-moses-brown-shows-improvementHow he's stood out: We elevated Brown to five-star status coming out of the summer based on the thought that he was getting ready to turn the corner from prospect to player. Sure enough, he's made the move to the next level. He is a rim protector, he rebounds and he shows improved athleticism and skill. Brown could make a run at the national top 10. Recruitment: Brown has offers from Connecticut, Seton Hall, Rutgers, St. John's, Kansas, Georgetown and many others. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/stock-up-2019-lamelo-ball-leads-10-rising-halfway-through-holiday-tourneys

I'm sure he was mightily impressed. Who wouldn't be?

Not listing Georgetown, but in our region and looks like an interesting prospect. Might reclassify to 2017... His day: In a game that featured five-star big men with more notoriety, it was Jordan Walker that won the day. Finishing with 15 points and 11 assists, The Patrick School product was not just a game changer as an offensive playmaker but also as a defender thanks to his energy and gritty on-ball abilities. Walker is actually scheduled to graduate in the spring and will have to make a decision on whether to head to college or stick with his current plan of going to prep school. Who is involved: Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, Indiana, LSU, Providence Quote: "I don't know about that right now but I'll make a decision later on. After the season I plan on taking a lot of visits. Prediction: Although Walker has been leaning toward taking a prep year after he graduates this spring for a while, Seton Hall has been present from day one and it looks like its persistence could be enough to land Walker in 2017. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/hoophall-classic-monday-standouts-and-predictions

SCRATCHING THE SURFACE Moses Brown Last week, Moses Brown rose all the way to No. 6 in the class of 2018 and it appears as if he's going to back it up. He was severely limited by foul trouble in his game but at 7-feet with soft touch and good athleticism, his ceiling is ridiculous. Arizona, Connecticut, Kansas, Louisville, St. John's and many others are chasing. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/the-bossi-awards-hoophall-classic

Class of 2018 Baltimore Supreme (MD) forward Nate Roberts has had top notch performances throughout FAA camp. He has taken away a great deal from it all. “It’s been a very fun experience because of how I can just play the game of basketball and do the things I love,” said Roberts. “From a competing standpoint I just want to play against the best players around and from a social standpoint I get the chance to meet people I’ve never met before. Other than that it’s been great to get some exposure here.” He understands what he brings to every team he plays for and what he needs to improve on. “My coaches think I play the three and four well, but I would describe my game as someone that is versatile and plays inside and outside,” he said. “I can take bigger guys from the perimeter and smaller guys down low. I just need to improve my ball handling and get stronger.” His recruitment hasn’t been as active as some would expect, but he is starting to gain some big interest. “I hold two offers so far and those are from Delaware and James Madison,” said the 2018 forward. “I picked up interest from Cincinnati today and I also have received interest from Miami, NC State, Virginia, Providence and a couple more schools.” hoopgroup.com/elite-blog/elite-camp-updates/nate-roberts-is-ready-to-breakout/In December, Nate Roberts was playing for Baltimore (Md.) John Carroll. By mid-January, Roberts, a three-star versatile prospect, opted to make a move to Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy to play for Jason Smith. “I just [had] a deep talk with my family over winter break and it seemed like a better opportunity, better competition, better academic wise, so it was just a better opportunity overall,” Roberts told Scout. Robert, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound forward, hopes the move helps his development. In the Hoophall Classic, although he didn’t get a ton of minutes because he's still getting acclimated with a new team, but Roberts still showed his potential. “I consider myself a high motor guy, someone who runs the floor well, rebounds, blocks shots, get buckets around the basket, stretch it out if I can, dribble if I can, just keep my game well-rounded and not staying one-dimensional.” What’s the next step in his development? “Definitely getting stronger and ball handling and shooting,” he said. Roberts says his recruitment is going “good,” but that it’s been somewhat quiet since the summer. With that said, high major schools have been keeping tabs on him. Among the schools he listed were Syracuse, UConn, Indiana, Purdue, West Virginia, Maryland and Xavier. “Everybody’s pretty much even,” he said. “Nobody’s really sticking out right now.” www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1748687-nate-roberts-talks-transfer-recruiting

Over the weekend, Ryan was in Ann Arbor and added an offer from Michigan to a list that now includes Indiana, Stanford (where he visited in June), Northwestern, Florida, Boston College, Rice, Davidson, St. John's, DePaul, Tulane, Harvard, Penn and Yale (where his father played). Others that have indicated interest since the summer include Notre Dame, Virginia, Duke, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt and Georgetown. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/four-star-ryan-adding-offersHe doesn't look like he's in any rush to make a decision, but four-star junior shooting guard Cormac Ryan has been making sure he's got the information that he needs. After visiting Stanford, Villanova, Yale and Pennsylvania earlier this winter, the 6-foot-5 scorer from Massachusetts took in Northwestern's home win over Indiana on Sunday. One of the best shooters in the class of 2018, Ryan has also drawn significant interest from Notre Dame and Michigan among others. Currently, there are no plans for future visits and no timetable for setting a final list. However, look for Ryan to eventually lock in on programs that feature high level academics to go along with high level hoops.basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/starting-five-josh-jackson-brings-steps-up
