Jabril gets too rough for my comfort level sometimes but what Hart did versus the Hall is a whole different type of awful. What Hart did to Delgado was stupid & inexcusable.. Forget the NCAA, Wright should have suspended him.. Tonight though was just over-aggressive basketball, we see kids flailing their arms all the time trying to get calls.. He hit Jabril with his hand not an elbow, play on imo.. Yup. Refs need to take notice. Jabril already has a reputation that the refs watch but Hart seems to stay under the radar. Twice in what two weeks? It's unacceptable. Back in the day of enforcers like Rick Mahorn, Charles Oakley, etc, Hart would have been taken out before the game ended but things like that don't happen anymore so the refs and NCAA need to be on notice.

I watched the play, the replay, the re-replay, the re-re-replay.
Wasn't intentional
It's basketball. Things happen

Yup, wasn't his elbow at all. He threw his arm out there intentionally and hit him in the eye. He knew exactly what he was doing. LOL, it was an accident. Can we just celebrate a really good win for once without manufacturing something to be mad about. If we had lost you would be signing a different tune. And if Jabril is out with a detached retina in the next couple days I'm sure you'll change your mind.

Yeah, basketball is a physical game though not as physical as it used to be, and especially down in the paint but that was dirty play and dangerous. Coupled with the attack on Delgado and there's no doubt in my mind that it wasn't simply an accident.

If Jabril is out with a detached retina, it means he got injured playing basketball. It's a contact sport. A guy went hard to the basket, got his shot blocked, lost his balance, and accidently hit another guy in the face.
Simple as that.

Jabril flirts with the line of over-aggressive and dirty in his worst moments. Hart has moments where he is so far over the line I question his motivations. You know Jabril does it to be an intimidating tough guy and all that bs. Because of this, he also is usually kept in check by the refs and not really given the benefit of the doub. Hart seems to just want to hurt guys and completely flies under the officials radar, which is a little disturbing. Hart was given a flagrant foul in the Seton Hall game Sleepy.. Yes I know that, but I'm referring to the special attention players like Jabril get based on reputation. He doesn't have that same reputation thought I believe he clearly deserves it. To put it another way, had that play been Jabril elbowing/arm smacking him it definitely would have at least been reviewed. I really have no idea how you can have a player elbowed in the eye/nose to the point where his nose is bleeding and they don't even review it with these current elbow rules.

We beat Nova and instead of looking forward to Marquette, we're debating this. HoyaTalk for you.

Yup, that's all I'm saying. NCAA and refs need to be aware of it. Hart's doing things which are really dangerous compared to Jabril (especially the leg whip on Delgado) and the refs need to give equal attention to watching Hart. I'm just surprised Hart's antics still fly under the radar when Jabril's every move is scrutinized.

In the Butler game Saturday, Jabril (apparently) took out a Butler player with a shot to the fellas. It's been his M.O. for most of his career as a Hoya and I love him. Josh Hart has a little ways to go before we know if he's a dirty player. Imo

I'm pretty sure every commentator over the past 4 years has noted it at one point. He has a reputation for being over aggressive. I'm not saying it is anything egregious, or even undeserved or detrimental, but it's there. And I already stated that I think replay gave a bad view of the play. And if I am wrong about that , I do not understand how it is possible that hand lightly grazing/bumping into a players face like it would if that was just an off balanced accident, could cause that much damage. Either way I think it is insane it didn't get replayed based on the way those rules are enforced.

None of those ' flagrants' , ours included , were flagrants and were called as such.
Nothing to debate here. Move on.

It was his forearm as well. But no review? They reviewed a play where Hopkins barely touched a guy but not that?

Have you watched Butler play in the last 5 years?
