Seeing what Roosevelt Jones did to us in the lane on Saturday, I'd be a bit concerned with Pinkston tonight. Although they play different positions, Pinkston and Jones have a similar knack for getting into the lane, being crafty, and using their bodies to create contact and shooting space down low for "and-ones."
I think Hopkins will draw the assignment early, but guys like White and Cope and maybe Bowen will have to step up.
Unless Ochefu is vastly improved, I think we are okay there with Smith/Hop.
Guards on the perimeter defense need to play really, really well. Much better than they have in the last month.
I expect Nova to give us 1 cold shooting half tonight. I hope we can take advantage when they do.

If the Hoyas continue to go on ridiculous scoring droughts they will have no chance against Nova. Unfortunately there is nothing they have displayed to convince me they are on the verge of solving that problem.
With that said my one suggestion for the Hoyas would be to be aggressive whenever they get the ball beyond the halfcourt line. Nova has killed GU by allowing the Hoyas to waste possessions because of turnovers. When the Hoyas casually (meaning pointlessly) swing the ball around in the halfcourt that falls into the trap of Nova's defense which is typically ready to swipe at the ball when the shotclock gets low.. The Hoyas need to make quicker decisions and look to put up a shot via a jumper or a drive. I'd rather they take a quick shot than take no shot at all as a result of some frustrating turnover. The last couple of seasons it always seem as if the Hoyas are coughing up the ball 20 plus times in their games against Villanova.

He is vastly improved. Didn't he have 20 rebounds in that one game this year. Probably the most improved player in the conference. I've seen a lot of Villanova this year. We can't beat their A game so will have to hope they don't bring it and that we play a complete game. I don't think we have played well for more than a half (Indiana 2nd half, Creighton 2nd half) since or loss to Wisconsin.

Villnova is favored by 4pts and the over/under is 132
If the game is high scoring would believe that may favor Villanova more than Georgetown.

Pinkston seems like he has been at Villanova for a very long time. I still remember the one game before pre-game warm-ups when he stepped on the basketball and played the whole game on leg.

Interesting, Paul White is still the 1st Hoya off the bench.

I think White is a little farther along on defense than Copeland.

Paul White and Josh Smith have both help spark the Hoyas to an 13-11 lead.
