Marquette has blown a 12 point second half lead, and is now tied with DePaul with 1:14 left in the second half. Thrilling battle for ninth place in the conference.

Well, DePaul will not go winless in conference play this season. Nice start for Wojo. DePaul wins 61-58 over Marquette. The Golden Eagles blew a thirteen-point lead, 49-36, with 11:46 left in the game, by shooting only 3-14 from the field and turning the ball over seven times. I expect to read tomorrow that Purnell's contract was extended three years by Jean Lenti Ponsetto, the AD at DePaul.
Elsewhere, Indiana and Nebraska are tied at 49-49 with 12:08 to play in the second half. #16 Wichita State leads Drake, 29-24, with 0:30 left in the first half. #18 Oklahoma defeated George Mason, 61-43.

Creighton has no one that can defend against LaDontae Henton. He has 25 of Providence's 42 points with 16:03 to play in the second half (42-30, Friars).

I'm very interested to see how Joshua will be used when we play Providence. Transition D will be big in those games. I'm very impressed by the defensive rotations by Providence too. I hope the Hoyas are watching.

Wasn't sure where to put this so put it here. Out of the 90 BE home games how many do you think the home team will win? I think it could be over 70 which is just how balanced the conference is this year.

Marquette with Luke Fisher is a lot different than without. Apparently not.

In a perfect world, who would draw the defensive assignment on Henton? I want to say Bowen or Bril. But Henton plays a bunch of 4 for the Friars, doesn't he? I'm curious how PW would do....

I hope they are getting ready to play Xavier. If they're not ready by now, there are larger issues with which to deal. If they are watching another game an hour before their conference opener, they don't know how to prepare mentally for a game.

"Hold me back! Hold me back!" I would love to have seen that escalate. Just for the comedic value.
