6'1 PG out of Houston
Top100Talent.com @top100talent 18m18 minutes ago 6’o Galen Robinson (2015/PG) is taking an official visit to Georgetown this weekend! @g_robinson1 @texaspro17u
Recent Rivals article mentions 3 came in a couple weeks ago and set up the visit. Doesn’t have an offer yet but will be taking an official this weekend starting Friday according to reports…

I assume he's a a back-up plan for Dozier. Anyone have any idea if he's any good / a decent prospect? Who the competition is?

I assume he's a a back-up plan for Dozier. Anyone have any idea if he's any good / a decent prospect? Who the competition is? Houston, Creighton, TCU, or Gtown.. "I really like getting my teammates involved and setting things up. I do a good job of getting to the rim and scoring, but my teammates come first, and I don't mind not being the first option. It's important for me to play consistent as a point, and I did that. There are a lot of things you have to do as a ball handler and I showed that I can play all phases of the game." In the past, Robinson admits that he was finding out what type of player he was, and he knew that he wasn't high on recruiters list until now. "I wasn't confident in the past years," added Robinson. "I truly didn't have a clue what kind of player I wanted to be. I wasn't vocal or a leader, but that has all changed."

Another Scouting report Texas Hoops Analysis:GALEN is a tough blue-collar point guard that has the ability to score going to the basket. He can breakdown his defender and pound his way to the rim where he can take the physical contact to finish in the lane or get to the free-throw line. He is a good on the ball defender that gets in the passing lanes. He has great court vision , gets his teammates involved, and runs plays from a half court setting. He understands how to read his opponents and in transition, he recognizes when to push the ball or slow it down.

Who knew about Jabril or Otto or GW? How much did anybody know about the Ohio kids or the FGCU kids? I never buy into the "trust the staff" theory that folks like to put out there, mainly because what choice do we have? I think that if your team has a need you should kick the tires on as many kids as possible if you miss out on your top targets, you may find a diamond in the rough..

Kid's game reminds me a bit of Trey Burke and a lot of Parker Cartwright-Jackson. I know JT3 loves PCJ's game.

Hasn't the staff been doing a good amount of that? Seems to me that they have. In that regard, I do trust the staff.

Did you read the roster/number of kids that were there? I don't ever recall a MM pulling that many kids. Have the guys that attendeded commit elsewhere? Until they do, "dud" is premature.

Dud as in no commitments. I really just meant a disappointment from my perspective. I was really looking for one or two commitments at or shortly after MM.
