I hope coach knows what he is doing, tickling our heart strings like that. We all expect White, Copeland and Peak to be able to contribute. Little Tre steps up, plays good enough D to come in for DSR or Trawick? That is some next level stuff right there. I am not saying he is going to match up well with Wayne Seldon or some of the biggest guards we will play, but the ability to wreak havoc on another team's point guard defensively, which seems to me what III is getting at... well, that puts this team in a great position to really challenge the big birds, reptiles and certainly cats.

Wasn’t counting on Tre this year so if he’s ahead of schedule that’s a welcomed surprise...

Wow...I didn't expect much from Tre this year. If he is impressing as well, that would be great news.

If I recall correctly, in 2011-2012, Trawick, Porter, Whittington, and Hopkins all played together (with Clark) against Marquette to start our significant comeback in that game (not sure if Adams was sidelined yet, at that point). Thus, while it's unlikely to happen frequently, it wouldn't shock me to see DSR + 4 freshman at some point.

Unfortunately, Tyler only appeared in 4 games for us. Docs shut him down by the time the Marquette game rolled around. Clark did go off in that game. Kept it on the DVR for quite awhile.

That was definitely one of the more exciting games we've had over the last few years. Others that come to mind are the Missouri game from a few years ago, the Alabama game we won at the last minute, and the Connecticut game we stole on Otto Porter's back in 2013. (I'm intentionally excluding our thrashing of Syracuse, but that always ranks high.) Maybe 2014-2015 will bring one of these types of games in the NCAA tournament. We are due.

Though 2010 approaches the point where it no longer counts as the last few years, that YouCon game when Austin went off in the second half definitely comes to mind.

Trawick also ate their backcourt alive defensively. They got nothing from that point IIRC. Henry and Hollis hit big shots to ice it, but Jason and the 4 frosh lineup won that game, without question. Now, if we have Tre even for 8mpg, where he leaks out after we press (as we have been told we will) and get a TO and/or if we break a press and he gets up the floor to make a play, that would be a great change of pace. I hope we are working quick reads on the secondary break. One of the drills at open pratcice almost looked like it.

Beating Alabama does my heart good. Wasn't able to be there in person for that one, unlike our previous encounter in Birmingham, but it's still deeply satisfying to me years later I think a lot of people don't realize just how intense the atmosphere at that game was.

What's funny looking back is they were top 15 but we had 3 NBA players and we "pulled the upset" lol.

I am cautously optimistic, and for me that is saying a lot. ;-}
