On a side note first time seeing McDermott and he is a stud. Battles down low for boards/putbacks and shoots lights out when open.

Hopkins was fantastic tonight and I can't believe I'm typing that. Agreed. He was a good as he could be.

Single digit TOs (6) again tonight. When we keep it below 10, we are in good shape.

Awesome effort all around and one of the most enjoyable games I've seen in a while. Really happy Markel and the rest of the seniors went out on such a high note. Really going to miss #5 next season.

Really nice win. Curse those two Marquette losses.

Know that Lubick got in foul trouble and barely played, but Hopkins was able to guard McDermott and contribute significantly without fouling. Moses helped too. If our front line can just stay out of foul trouble and help out, we are a completely different team. They've had much more trouble doing that on the road, but hope like hell they can on Saturday. He only ended up with the 2 quick ones but still didn't play most of the game. Very interesting.

Did Caprio get to play? I didn't see his name in the boxscore.

Thought he came in for Markel in the last ten secs.

Starks was clutch tonight. Jabril's points were timely. He had a nice game, taking it to the hoop when we really needed to score.

It would have been a tough match for Lubick in this game...Creighton bigs were real moving off the screen this game

Love it, gigantic win. Still think we need to win at Nova, or get to the finals of the BE tournament in order to get in the NCAAs. But should be a proud moment for Nate and Markel. Going out at the Verizon Center in style. Now lets see if we can keep them playing a little longer...

One of the best Hoya wins of the post Otto era. One or two caveats however. Refs let them play. We didn't get hit with a lot of touch fouls even though we played D pretty much like we always do. Also, we match up well against teams without a legit big man. That said however you can't beat 6 TOs and tenacious D.

But that 10-12 footer looked nice again, wish he had developed confidence in it earlier.

Must say the boys shocked the heck out of me with this win. They were as cohesive and poised as I have seen them all year. JT-III probably did his best job of coaching this year as well. Huge! Huge win.

Starks was great and the look on his face as he got subbed out at the end told you all you needed to know about how important this was to him.

Will the game re-air on Fox in the next couple of days? I missed the first half.

It was very emotional when Starks walked to the bench hugging JTIII at the end of game! Thank you, seniors!
This win not only kept us remain in the NCAA at-large bid competition, but also gave us momentum and confidence as we are very likely to face Creighton the third time this season during BET if we beat Butler on Mar. 12.
Anyone knows the tie-breaker between us and SJU if both end up with 9-9?
