Let's keep it rolling. We have not been much of a road team, but we usually play tough ones @ Marquette. Play defense like today and limit turnovers and we can nudge ourselves back into the conversation.

The thing is, the Hoyas had the lead because they're better than Marquette. Continue to be better.

Have to come out with same urgency/intensity as X. Start another winning streak.

This game is another 9:00 game ....... or whenever FS1 decides to show it.

I think they are running "Top 10 NASCAR Practice Days of 2013" at 8, so as long as it doesn't run over we should be okay.

Forget NASCAR. Hopefully Creighton isn't playing the 7PM game, because even if it runs 15 minutes over, FS1 may want to do a five minute postgame interview with Doug McDermott before switching over to the Georgetown game.

Charlotte@E. Carolina. Sounds like a 3 hour 2 OT battle. But FoxSports2 has a rerun of a Europa League game, so those of us who get it should be good.

What was up with FS1 yesterday? I was at work and taped the game. When I got home I just fast forwarded through all the Nascar crap so I am not even sure what they were showing. FS1 has had a few head scratching moments this year.

Only Rupert Murdoch probably has FS2. And I'm positive even he doesn't watch that ::bleep::.

The team should be able to use the blown lead for motivation. Whether they actually do or not, who knows? They have been so up and down this year. Bril starting again may provide the spark at the start which seemed to help with the Mouseketeers. He brings emotion, sometimes too much, but perhaps what they need.

Since I don't see The Jabril Trawick Thread, I'll post the following here.
Since coming back from his injury, Jabril has played 8 games. In those games, Jabril is averaging 25 mpg (last two games: 30 & 34), 49% 2FG (57 FGAs), 44% 3FG (16 FGAs), 83% FT (24 FTAs), 3.4 rpg, and 3 fouls pg (last two games: 5 & 4).
It's great to have another 10+ppg offensive option.
Congrats to him and his hard work! Play to your strengths and watch for the unnecessary fouls!

I don't think people realize that winning this game would be a very big surprise and a huge deal. The Hoyas have won exactly ONCE at the Bradley Center since Marquette joined the Big East in 2006--that was with Roy Hibbert and Jonathan Wallace on the roster. That win was so long ago, that the Hoyas have actually won two--that's right TWO--NCAA tournament games since then.
While the games have generally been competitive, including last season when Whitt missed the key FT at the end--the home cooking has always been the difference. Personally I think this is the most difficult to win of the remaining 3 games, and I will be very, very surprised if we pull it out.
Every year I post this and every year people come on here and tell me how this year's Marquette team is down and it won't be as hard to win as it has been in the past, and every year we lose anyway, so spare me that one. This is a very, very tall order--one more reminder how unfortunate it is that the Verizon side of the matchup was played during the wilderness period with no Jabril.

Yes, you do post this every year and for some reason you think people think otherwise. Of course this is a tough game! We've won 2 games on the road all year and we just lost to seton hall by 15 points. At this point in the season, we are all living on a prayer, let's face it. If we were really reducing it to logic, it's high unlikely that a 16-11 team is all of a sudden going to win 3 games against top 10 teams and Marquette. Everyone just needs to get on the delusion train

I think it is fair to say that this Marquette team is a notch below mist of their recent squads. Of course so are we. This will be a battle - but one we can win if we play well. Still probably a better chance than the 2 top teams that follow.

It's just factually true that Marquette is not anywhere near as good as Creighton or Nova.
