With Bacon off the table we have to be all in on this kid. Him or Crawford are our only chances, and Dozier is clearly the better of the two. Id take them both but I'd prefer Dozier. Let's land this kid.

Pretty sure we're already all in on him regardless of what the others chose

I'm not going to go as far and get your hopes up as to say we are getting a commit. I have heard a lot of different stuff on Dozier. But the latest has been good

"First in will be USC’s Frank Martin on Tuesday, the first day coaches can be on the road to visit this year’s seniors. Wednesday will be the day for Georgetown coach John Thompson II to get his meeting with the family. Friday North Carolina’s Roy Williams comes to Columbia. And the following Wednesday Michigan head coach John Belein will be in for his visit. Dozier did not have in home date for Louisville coach Rick Pitino as of Sunday night.
The official visits begin later this month with Michigan on September 26th. Louisville is set for October 3rd and then he will visit Georgetown October 17th, North Carolina October 24th and USC will get the final official visit on October 31st."
From a South Carolina Message Board.

UNC scares me on his list. There is no one on the roster that would scare Dozier away because of being too much competition. In fact if we were to get Crawford to go along with a soph Tre I would say that we would have more competition for immediate playing time. Don't get me wrong I know that he will get PT but UNC is closer to home, his fav school and we have better young guards. And yes I will go on record and say Tre is better than Nate! !!!!!

Apparently ol Roy iOS now trying to sell him on being their lead guard after telling him he would play the 2/3. If that's the case they could very well land him.

Dozier would start from Day 1 alongside LJP. Actually on day 1 Smith-Rivera will still likely be here, so that's probably the guy that Dozier would be starting next to. But the point still stands, and there's a realistic chance all 3 would start at the same time. At minimum all 3 would be receiving "starter minutes." Dozier certainly has the potential to be the best guard we've seen at Georgetown under JTIII, and considering that we've had numerous all-conference guys (Wallace, Wright, Freeman, Clark, Starks, Smith-Rivera) that tells you how high his ceiling is. He'll be tough to land but it seems we've got a legitimate chance leading up to a Midnight Madness visit, which is all we can really ask for. Hope we can close.

Tre May be better than Nate Britt but I'm not so sure that he's better than Paige & Berry though Hoyazeke..

Tre isn't better than Paige but he will be gone. So in my mind a Tre/Bryant combo would be more competition than a Berry/ Britt combo. But as was stated Dozier starts early if not day 1.....

Smart move by Roy when you take into account that Justin Jackson & Theo Pinson are just as good if not better wing prospects than Dozier is.. I still think folks are sleeping on Michigan here, Beilien's(sp?) recent track record of putting guards/wings in the draft is better than any other coach on Dozier's list.. The kid knows this too, there's a write up on scout where his father talks about it.. In the end I hope he chooses G'town..

Hopefully distance is an issue there, sure DC is decently far too (7hrs), but that's 4hrs closer than Michigan would be and at least it's still on the East Coast.

We need Dozier to just want to come to Gtown because UNC is closer and his family could see him play easily at least 20 games on their schedule. We need a connection with JT3 and or a player. ...

I don’t think it’s a lock Paige is gone… He had a good season but the NBA guys are not high on him. Right now he’s projected as a mid 2nd rounder. IMO Berry 5 star + Britt is still a better combo than Tre and Crawford. More experienced as well
