Can admit I haven't seen Berry but I have seen the other 3 variables in the equation and Berry has to be a no brainer to give UNC the advantage. I'm not impressed with Britt at all...... ?

I think if Theo Pinson were at Georgetown, he would've been in the mix to play point. I really think his professional future will be at that position because he's a good enough ball handler and passer and I think he plays pretty smart. So next year UNC would have Britt, Paige, Berry and Pinson to help with ball handling.
If Georgetown got a commitment from Crawford, they'd have DSR and Tre only as point guard options. I view both Tre and Britt as primary backups and I haven't seen enough of Crawford to say, but my immediate instinct tells me he's a borderline starter. Paige and Berry are definite starters and Pinson is going to play starter's minutes somewhere on the floor.
So even with Crawford I think PJ Dozier would have more possibility for minutes at Georgetown than UNC, particularly at the point guard position. Plus he'd have a better shot at being the starter as well. I don't think he's better than Berry and I think his skillset is similar to Theo Pinson, with Pinson possibly being the better athlete.

I thought Pinson was more of a 3/2 than a 2/1. I definitely thought Dozier was a 1/2. Meaning that I didn't even factor Pinson or a LJ into the equation of Perry's possible mins.

He can definitely initiate offense probably not a full time guy though. Probably going to see a lot of time at the 2 for them but he will have the ball in his hands a lot..

Despite some issues I have regarding Crawford I think he is a legit starting point guard prospect for a top twenty D1 team. And Tre from all accounts had a very good showing in the KL this summer and may be underrated.

UNC scares me on his list. There is no one on the roster that would scare Dozier away because of being too much competition. In fact if we were to get Crawford to go along with a soph Tre I would say that we would have more competition for immediate playing time. Don't get me wrong I know that he will get PT but UNC is closer to home, his fav school and we have better young guards. And yes I will go on record and say Tre is better than Nate! !!!!! Dozier would start from Day 1 alongside LJP. Where would DSR play?

As in we are in a good place or, like Crawford, you expect him to commit? I think we are in a good place. I'm not going to go as far and get your hopes up as to say we are getting a commit. I have heard a lot of different stuff on Dozier. But the latest has been good The guy running Hoyas247 says that as of late what he is hearing from the folks in South Carolina is that it will come down between Gtown and USC, just like it did with LJ Peak. The 247 guy isn't making any promises or predictions; he's a level-headed kind of dude. But according to his latest info the apparent frontrunner UNC has slipped quite a bit. We'll have to see if that holds.

I don’t think it’s a lock Paige is gone… He had a good season but the NBA guys are not high on him. Right now he’s projected as a mid 2nd rounder. You know who are also projected as second rounders? The Harrison twins, Dakari Johnson, Branden Dawson, and LeBryan Nash (wow, he's still in college!). I recall when these guys were expected to be locks as NBA lottery picks. By the way it is ridiculous how much Paige is loved by the media but his fellow junior, DSR, who has put up at least equally as good numbers, is all but ignored.

Would a Crawford commit decrease our chances?

Dozier would start from Day 1 alongside LJP. Where would DSR play? We'd go 3 guard. Staff has done it before with Wright, Clark and Freeman and would do it again, only this time with more length and explosiveness.

Other people been saying we shouldn't play a so-called three guard lineup THIS season with DSR, Jabril and LJ. Most want that big lineup with Copeland at the three. And speaking of Copeland can we really believe that either he or Paul White will have to wait until his junior season before getting into the starting lineup? Because if one or both don't start this season, then your scenario of Dozier's arrival and role as a starter the following season will mean that Copeland or White or both would be the odd man out in the team's top five. I just don't see that happening.

Elite teams have elite depth
Also, we haven't even seen either play a single minute of college ball. Don't get me wrong. I think they'll be great, but we've seen more "sure thing" prospects than them not pan out more often than not. To be among the big boys we can't be afraid of stock piling talent. Let the boys prove it on the practice court

JTIII needs to take a jersey down there with Perry's number on it and anything else he can think of to get this kid to jump on board.
