No surprise. Good luck to him.

Might want to be in touch with this kid. The s**t is about to hit the proverbial fan in L'ville.

Andre McGee left Louisville in May 2014. VJ King had nothing to do with the current scandal but who knows if the practice of hiring escorts for recruits wasn't reassigned to another coach and continued since McGee left? I would be shocked if VJ keeps his commitment and even more shocked if Pitino survives this scandal. Trust when I tell you that hiring strippers and escorts to entertain recruits still happens at more schools then you realize particularly in football. It used to be very prevalent until Colorado football got caught in their myriad of scandals in 2004. I went to high school at a football powerhouse During the mid 90's and had several classmates who were national recruits tell me about their adventures in debauchery during their recruiting visits.

Wouldn't it get more tricky for Pitino and co. if the recruits are underage? Then someone is probably looking at some jail time.

One of the perks of "doing business" in Kentucky is that 16 y. o. age of consent

It would get a lot more tricky if some of those recruits were 18 and the escorts were under 18. One is being reported as young as 15. Pitino can survive anything....this is what he does. He's a slick used car salesmen that runs a bball factory....nothing more, nothing less.

I may or may not know a guy who played lacrosse at Georgetown some time ago who described something not too far off occurring during his recruiting visit. This stuff does happen, but hopefully not systematically and with coaches involved.

Funny, but I'm hearing Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young" right now.

Yes, not too far of. Neither here nor there, but I think things like that do happen. "He's Got Game," anyone?

I'm in the camp that believes Pitino won't be going anywhere.

I'm in the camp that believes Pitino won't be going anywhere. Not so sure. I could see him bolt town because he doesn't want to deal with reduced scholarships, post season ban and damaged recruiting. Plus he already had another sex scandal at Louisville. Might be a good time to escape to the NBA, perhaps as head coach of the Washington Wizards.

I should have been more clear. I don't think he'll be forced to leave.

I'm guessing this goes beyond the NCAA investigating. Wouldn't local and federal authorities be looking into these allegations?

I don't know, they seem to fit in quite well with the rest of the scumbags!
