It still surprises me when folks question his athleticism.. The coast to coast lay-up in traffic & the rebound dunk in the above clip debunks that myth..

Why are we not on the uncommitted guard who plays for them or the 6'2 St. Rita kid?

Why are we not on the uncommitted guard who plays for them or the 6'2 St. Rita kid? Why would we be? Here's my favorite line of the season, and it's happened like five or six times: 18 minutes, 5 fouls, 0-2, 3 TOS, 0 pts. Big man or bust.

Cause for next year we'll need another guard. Read my other posts and I'm begging for another big too.

Cause for next year we'll need another guard. Read my other posts and I'm begging for another big too. We need a big far more. We currently have one serviceable big for next year. ONE. We have at least 3 guards with 2 others that are serviceable there, in a system that does not need or rely on guards or guard depth.

Finished with 16- 7assts 5rbs 2 blks by my count..
Simeon got up 12 in the second half. Illinois commit DJ Williams, 6’7 kid was running the point for Simeon and flat out dominating until Coach Slaughter decided to put White on Williams. White shut down Williams, Young outscored them 32-12 over the next quarter and a half and won by 10 or so...

This is the part of White's game that surprised me and has me most excited to see him next year. We knew we'd miss Otto's offense and rebounding, but this year's team really showed us how much we missed a long versatile defender like him. After watching White defend Mudiay, I think he can be that guy next year even as a freshman.

Sure there will be a bit of an adjustment, but I don't see it taking long before he's clogging lanes, tipping passes, and playing solid man to man D like Otto used to do for us. And my god it will be so nice to have a forward that can make a 12-15 foot jumper again.

Get ready for the corny “like White on Rice” references… Haha
Definitely comfortably guarding all over the court. Such a smart player he sees the game so well for a young guy. He always makes the right reads and has a poise to his game that would make any coach feel at ease anytime he touches it. Going to be real hard to keep this kid of the court next year, 30min per night if you ask me

I hope he doesn't play 30 minutes a game. Not for a freshman when next season's team will include a few guys talented enough to play many minutes at the forward position (including Peak at SF from time to time).I would prefer that he plays somewhere around 25 minutes per game. Playing 30 leaves me with the impression that it will be another III team that tries to get away with playing a few guys 30 or more minutes by playing a brand of ball that eats up too much of the shotclock each possession (and for those who keep coming up with "stats" indicating that the Hoyas don't use up much shot clock all I have to say is that the stats must be lying).
Spread the minutes out amongst next season's roster and pick up the pace. Please. There's no excuse for this team scoring less than 60 against DePaul at MSG.

Not much difference between 25 and 30 If he’s better than the guys ahead of him he should play. White can play 3 maybe 4 positions so you can move him around.
On a side note don’t know how we can pick up the pace with DSR pushing the rock. You need strong ball handlers to play an attacking style, we don’t have that currently.

I know we've disagreed on needing another ball handler, largely because I'm ok with who we have assuming we return to a much more traditional-looking Princeton offense. And I think the team composition next year suits that style of play.

White plays defense like Otto -- uses his length, fantastic positioning. I hope the downgrade in the center watching his back doesn't hurt his D too much.
