www.cityleaguehoops.net/2013/04/21/2013-pitt-jam-fest-day-two-recap/Devin Robinson, 6’7, Richmond Squires, 2014 - A wing with outstanding size, Robinson did a bit of everything against ATL Xpress. He shot the ball effortlessly from three, had a super soft touch in the paint, and used his wingspan to get his hands to get a ton of deflections on the defensive end. Already holding offers from VCU, UCONN, Xavier, Rutgers, Auburn, and Clemson, expect this super smooth wing’s recruitment to blow up this spring. Tariq Owens, 6’9, B’More’s Finest, 2014 - A player who we had heard about but never seen, Owens showed why so many BCS schools are on him. He’s a super long guy at a legit 6’9 and owns a huge wingspan, allowing him to provide a shot blocking presence and finish over the top of people. Additionally, Tariq has a nice package of skills that allow him to shoot it out to around 19 feet and get buckets around the rim with either hand. Holding offers from Miami, South Florida, Seton Hall, and VCU, Owens’ recruitment will pick up heavily as more college coaches get a glimpse of him

7'1 Trayvon Woods lsted Hoyas. Long, slim, shot blocker, finisher. Atl Celtics Trayvon Reed, 7’1, Atlanta Express, 2014- The tallest player in the event did not disappoint, dominating the game on the defensive end. He used every bit of his 7’1 frame to change the game defensively, blocking a ton of shots without ever getting in foul trouble. Offensively, Reed didn’t get a ton of touches, but dunked everything he touched in the paint. With 7-footers, its progress not perfection, and Trayvon is definitely on the right path. www.cityleaguehoops.net/2013/04/21/2013-pitt-jam-fest-day-two-recap/

Devin Robinson out to boost his stockOn Friday night, Devin Robinson impressed most onlookers – but he wasn't content. As a result, he came out on Saturday not looking to hunt his shot. “I didn't focus on scoring,” Robinson said. “If my shot wasn't falling, I was going to try to work on something else: grabbing rebounds, playing defense, whatever.” Robinson, a 6-foot-7 forward from Christchurch School (Va.), is ranked at the tail end of most top 100 rankings. That's not good enough for the athletic Squires Richmond prospect. “My stock has risen a lot,” he said. “During the school year, I dropped out the rankings. Now I've got a chip on my shoulder, and I'm trying to get back in it.” At this point, Robinson is already a matchup problem for most defenders. He's long and athletic, and can score in different ways. He knocked down a couple of perimeter shots, and also finished at the rim in transition. Moreover, he has the ability to guard multiple positions. He made his case for why he should be among the top 100 players in the country throughout the weekend in Pittsburgh. “It's my length. I close out shooters, get rebounds. I'm versatile, can post up smaller guards,” he said. “I shoot well too.” VCU, Virginia Tech, Connecticut, Rutgers, Towson and Boston University have all offered, while Cincinnati, Miami, Providence, UNC-Greensboro and Georgetown are showing interest. Robinson said VCU is coming at him the hardest. “I've been there twice,” he said. “It's how hard they practice. They get each other better and push each other.” He also plans on visiting Connecticut later in the summer. “Just players I can play with,” Robinson said when asked what he's looking for in a school. “Good academics. A great style of play, you know, it fits my style of play.” He's ranked No. 102 in 247 Sports Composite rankings. PITTSBURGH — Devin Robinson made a name for himself last summer. When you’re a lanky and athletic 6-foot-7 forward with a solid three-point stroke, that’s not a difficult thing to do. Robinson, who plays his AAU ball with Squires Richmond (VA), has amassed quite a list of offers: UConn, Rutgers, Towson, VCU, Virginia Tech and Xavier were among the schools that he mentioned. “VCU’s coming after me the hardest,” Robinson said of Shaka Smart’s program. “They play a lot of good D, they get up and down the floor, they shoot a lot of threes. They play hard.” VCU may have some competition after the way that Robinson played in the Pitt Hoop Group Jam Fest on Saturday. Squires knocked off Philly Pride before losing to a loaded Atlanta Xpress, and Robinson played great. He was knocked down threes, he was blocking shots around the rim, he was beating top 50 center Trayvon Reed for offensive rebounds, and he showed that he could use the dribble to create shots. Robinson, who is ranked No. 106 in the 2014 class according to Rivals, has heard from Cincinnati, Miami and Georgetown recently. collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/21/devin-robinson-highlights-saturdays-action-at-the-pitt-hoop-group-jam-fest/

Houston Hoops finishes 4-0 in LA and none of their games were close, their lowest margin of victory was 15. Oubre, Winslow, and Jackson dominated. Khadeem put up good block and rebounding numbers, scored 16 in his last game..

The final day of the Hoop Group Pitt Jamfest saw the top Under Armour teams, with a few others mixed in, battle it out for tournament titles. When the dust settled, We-R-1 (based out of Delaware) defeated Philly Pride for the 16-and-under championship, while Sports U (a New Jersey program) won the 17-and-under division for the second straight year. Coaches from West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Xavier, Syracuse, Georgetown, Florida and many others attended the final day of action in Pittsburgh. Here's a look at the top prospects who left a lasting impression. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1498105

Donte Grantham 2013 possible reclass to 2014collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/21/donte-grantham-headlines-the-uncommitted-2013-players-at-pitt-hoop-group-jam-fest/PITTSBURGH — Donte Grantham’s senior year has gone about as well as any high school kid could ask. Playing for his hometown high school in Martinsburg, WV, Grantham not only was named the state’s Player of the Year, but he won a state title as well. The only thing left is to figure out whether or not he will play for his state university next season. “I’m not sure right now,” Grantham said at the Pitt Hoop Group Jam Fest. “I’m going to take the live period to make my decision.” Grantham, a versatile, 6-foot-8 forward with three point range, is currently weighing a number of offers, including West Virginia. Head coach Bob Huggins was in Pittsburgh on Saturday watching his state’s most coveted recruit play very well for the DC Assault. Marshall, Cincinnati, Clemson, Wake Forest, Maryland, Xavier, Villanova and Georgetown are also on the chase for Grantham, who is one of the best recruits left in the class.

Chinanu OnuakoArinze Onuaku wound up being a great asset to Syracuse several years ago. Now, his brother, Chinanu, has the chance to do the same thing. The 2014 center from Riverdale Baptist (MD) is still very much so raw on the offensive end of the game, but he posses the body of a high-major big man with his 6-foot-11 frame, as well as a many similar traits to his older brother. The 2014 big is listing strong interest from the likes of Seton Hall, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Maryland and Virginia Tech, with others taking a look. Kansas State, who landed a commitment from his teammate Nigel Johnson on Saturday, will likely become heavily involved in the near future due to their strong ties in the DMV area recruitscoop.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1498143
