Short Blurb on Mikal Bridges, 2014 Great Valley In Two Words: Slinky, smooth The 6-6 junior wing can handle the ball out top, knock down a 3-pointer, and get in the lane and drop a floater. Being that tall with the ability to shoot and put the ball on the floor makes Bridges a matchup nightmare. He also uses his long arms to block shots, which he is becoming more adept at day by day. Needs to improve on: Adding some weight to his skinny frame to be able to defend bigger, stronger players. But his offensive skill set is so advanced for someone his size, Bridges can stake his claim to being one of the top two or three players in the area for 2014. Bridges has offers from St. Joe’s and Temple, as well as interest from Florida, Georgetown, VCU and Wichita State. If he continues to put in his time in the weight room, expect that list to grow and some other high-major schools to be added to it this summer. –JM cityofbasketballlove.com/2013/04/10-players-in-20132014-class-to-watch/

Brandon Francis 2014 6-4 guard out of Florida.. I remember stumbling on clips of him while I was looking up Demarcus Croaker last year. I thought he was pretty good and now tonight I see he's getting some good praise for his play at one of these aau tourney's.. I know the staff can't be on every kid but I wish they would find the diamonds in the rough again like they did with Jabril & GW.. Chase the "top" kids but have solid backup plans in place.. @evandanielsfox Florida Elite's Brandon Francis made plays in a game against Dream Vision. Skilled and can really pass. 2014 wing. jameskerti Elite 6-5 G Brandon Francis makes good decisions, can shoot, and has a strong body. @davetelep Brandon Francis. Big guard, sees himself as facilitator. Fringe high major. Unique game. Liked him. According to 247 sports he has offers from FIU, Illinois, Uconn, USF ect.. The staff should take a look..

6:30PM- It’s been a crazy tip off to the #PittJamFest. There was a line out the door of college coaches. We’re going to post a list updating all of the colleges in attendance tomorrow but everyone from UNC to Kansas and Louisville to Georgetown. It was CRAZY! Tonight was a inaugural tip to the Under Armour Association where all UA Basketball sponsored teams played each other head to head. We’ll have a full recap later tonight of the action. -@davekrupinski

scouthoops.scout.com/2/1285480.htmlTariq Owens, PF, Baltimore’s Finest – The long and lanky combo forward had an excellent showing. He blocked several shots, was active on the glass, and made up for his lack of physical strength with effort and a high motor. On top of that he scored it out to the mid-range and overall was excellent. His effort was one of the major bright spots of the day. Jared Nickens, SF, Sports U – Nickens built up a pretty good deal of buzz during the high school season for his play, and he continued with a strong showing on Saturday. He is a good outside shooter who is a good athlete with length. Nickens isn’t explosive going to the rim, but his handle is solid. Look for a lot more schools to begin to get involved.

Devin Robinson out to boost his stock
On Friday night, Devin Robinson impressed most onlookers – but he wasn't content. As a result, he came out on Saturday not looking to hunt his shot.
“I didn't focus on scoring,” Robinson said. “If my shot wasn't falling, I was going to try to work on something else: grabbing rebounds, playing defense, whatever.”
Robinson, a 6-foot-7 forward from Christchurch School (Va.), is ranked at the tail end of most top 100 rankings. That's not good enough for the athletic Squires Richmond prospect.
“My stock has risen a lot,” he said. “During the school year, I dropped out the rankings. Now I've got a chip on my shoulder, and I'm trying to get back in it.”
At this point, Robinson is already a matchup problem for most defenders. He's long and athletic, and can score in different ways. He knocked down a couple of perimeter shots, and also finished at the rim in transition. Moreover, he has the ability to guard multiple positions.
He made his case for why he should be among the top 100 players in the country throughout the weekend in Pittsburgh.
“It's my length. I close out shooters, get rebounds. I'm versatile, can post up smaller guards,” he said. “I shoot well too.”
VCU, Virginia Tech, Connecticut, Rutgers, Towson and Boston University have all offered, while Cincinnati, Miami, Providence, UNC-Greensboro and Georgetown are showing interest.
Robinson said VCU is coming at him the hardest.
“I've been there twice,” he said. “It's how hard they practice. They get each other better and push each other.”
He also plans on visiting Connecticut later in the summer.
“Just players I can play with,” Robinson said when asked what he's looking for in a school. “Good academics. A great style of play, you know, it fits my style of play.”
He's ranked No. 102 in 247 Sports Composite rankings.

Elijah Thomas went head to head with Cliff Alexander and outplayed him. Finished with 23 and 7 and the Dallas big man is still 2015
