Casual Hoya casualhoya 17h If Hoyas are no longer pursuing Paul White, PF Ben Bentil and C Elbert Robinson are the likely targets to round out the '14 class.A class of Copeland, Campbell, Peak, Bentil & E. Robinson would be a ridiculous class in my opinion.. I think the staff is in good shape with Bentil right now.. georgetown.247sports.com/Article/Ben-Bentil-Talks-Recruiting-And-Georgetown-142779Bentil plans on making a return trip to the Washington D.C. campus in the near future, however a firm date has not been pinned down yet. “I don’t know the exact date yet," said Bentil. "It’s going to happen sometime late August.”

Put it in White thread, but I agree. I'd be sick.

247sports.com/Season/2014-Basketball/RecruitRankings?InstitutionGroup=HighSchoolLatest 247 rankings for 2014.. Hoya targets.. #4 Kelly Oubre #9 Rashad Vaughn #24 Jonah Bolden - Please!! #29 Devin Robinson - He's moved up another 16 spots!! smh... #40 Ike Copeland - Moved up 7 spots #45 Reid Travis #50 Robert Johnson - Moved up 53 spots #56 Elbert Robinson#64 Chinanu Onuaku #65 Khadeem Lattin #83 LJ Peak - This seems low, he played well @ Peach Jam # 91 Ben Bentil#113 Bonzie Colson - This is silly.. they have him dropping 62 spots. His recruitment exploded this spring/summer #126 Tre Campbell I bolded the realistic targets to finish out the 2014 class.. I also read where Trey Lyles has an official visit scheduled with L'ville on 8/31. When is Elbert finally gonna visit L'ville? He's been talking about making a visit since May and it doesn't seem like he's going to make a move until he does

Hoyas need ERob to round out the class. Anything else is gravy.

www.newenglandrecruitingreport.com/news/article/3231/Colson-Preps-for-Visits.phpSt. Andrew’s forward Bonzie Colson has trimmed his list and scheduled his first three official visits following a tremendous AAU season with the BABC.
Colson put up huge numbers for BABC during the recent EYBL season, averaging over 18 points per game while shooting .564 from the floor and .792 from the free-throw line along with 6.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 2.3 blocks, and 1.1 steals.
He upped his totals to almost 20 points per game during the EYBL Finals at the Peach Jam while continuing to stuff all columns of the stat sheet.
That production led to wide-ranging high-major recruitment and numerous offers. But now, he’s cut his list to just nine schools – Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Miami, Georgetown, Minnesota, Florida State, Connecticut, Temple, and George Washington. Pittsburgh will get the first official visit, beginning this Thursday, followed by other trips to Notre Dame in late September, and then Miami on the weekend of October 4th.
“Those three are definitely leading at this point,” Colson said, “but I want to take all [five] of my visits for experience purposes.”
He also noted that Georgetown, Minnesota, and Florida State are being the most aggressive in trying to crack his list of visits and get him on campus.
I like that the staff is still staying in the mix for Bonzie.. The young man is pure production.. EYBL stats.. Reid Travis PNTHRS gp 18 ppg 18.2 fgm 111 fga 232 fg% .478 rpg 9.2 Bonzie Colson BABC gp 16 ppg 18.1 fgm 123 fga 218 fg% .564 rpg 6.6 I like Travis better too but Bonzie seems like a player...

Kevin Freeman, reminds me of him. Not a big fan of undersized PFs, but I love kids who are tough and get buckets.

Seems like a lot of visits are going on right now, I dont know the dates but I'm sure its a contact period. Any news on where JTIII and the assistants are? I guess any news about an in-home would have to come from the player.

OSU, Georgetown and Louisville are expected in tomorrow. I despise L'ville...

insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruiting/on-the-trail/post/_/id/5805/askcoachb-big-start-for-the-big-eastThe new Big East is off to a very good start in recruiting for the Class of 2014, as the conference has nine of the top ESPN 100 players already verbally committed. Providence, Georgetown, Villanova and Seton Hall are off to impressive starts. Some names to remember are Jalen Lindsey (Providence), Isaac Copeland (Georgetown), Mikal Bridges, Villanova) and Angel Delgado (Seton Hall). The Big East has built an incredible name in the basketball world, and when you look at the future of this conference, it will be dictated by the recruiting of the head coaches. If I had to give the Big East a grade today it would be an A-minus. They have plenty of high-level talent coming in, but no superstars. It's still relatively early in the recruiting process, as today starts the recruiting calendar for college coaches to begin home visits, school visits and evaluations. Campuses have already been in full swing, so expect more commitments to happen.

Campuses have already been in full swing, so expect more commitments to happen. The site verbal Commits averages out the HS recruits star ranking for every team in the conference. Here's how the "new" Big East shapes up.. G'town - 3.611 Nova - 3.467 Xavier - 3.273 Marq - 3.256 St. Johns - 3.167 Prov - 3.111 Depaul - 2.821 Butler - 2.806 Seton Hall - 2.524 Creighton - 2.359 I get that player rankings do not account for coaching, player development ect.. However it's interesting to see that Butler gets essentially the same level player as Depaul and not much higher than Seton hall. Creighton has to improve their number or they'll get whooped in this league..
