Actually, I'm glad he was able to get away from the Wizards (John Wall and Brooks) were a stumbling block for him after he got that huge pay day (imho). Granted his health was an issue too and sometimes being passive. However, Brooks having OP sit in the corner and shooting 3's for the most part, and/or Wall looking him off at times and preferring to give it to Beal was sad indeed. Last, but not least. He was traded to the Bulls for Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker. Sitting in the corner and shooting 3's off John Wall assists is exactly how he got paid. That's true, however he was able to do more than that though. Imho, he wasn't able to showcase that, also again OP being injured didn't help matters.

Porter with his first points with GSW tieing the game. I have him on my Fantasy team. Hopefully he can stay healthy and we see the Otto we know.

I’ve seen Otto play a few times this season. His shot has been inconsistent but he seems to have more bounce in his step. Hopefully he continues to stay healthy.

3. Otto Porter Jr.‘s first real imprintThe Thunder still led late in the third quarter, but their control of the game had been slipping. In moments like that, late-quarter momentum swings by veteran teams have a way of shaking a young team and serving as an early knockout blow. That’s what made this three-play, 36-second sequence by Porter so big. • With 1:01 left in the third quarter: Porter, spotted up on the right wing, gets the Lee swing and buries a 3 to finally put the Warriors ahead. • With 39 seconds left: Porter comes over from the weak side and swats away Aleksej Pokuševski’s layup attempt. • With 25 seconds left: Porter finds his way to the right corner in transition and buries the corner 3, set up because of a double-team on Curry and a smart Iguodala find. In a flash, Porter took the Warriors from down one point to up five entering the fourth quarter, delivering momentum they would never relinquish. He hasn’t looked terrific to open his first season with the Warriors, and Kerr has mostly minimized his minutes, but that jumper is pure and he just conducts himself in a confident, reliable way, which allows for important sequences like that one. theathletic.com/2915659/2021/10/27/five-observations-warriors-win-in-oklahoma-city-as-damion-lee-continues-strong-play

Otto's shot has been off, but his defense and, especially, rebounding have both been strong.

Otto also led the GSW in rebounds with 9 in only 18 minutes of play.

I feel like 18-20 mins a game for Otto is ideal at this point in his career. He’s literally missed large chunks of the past three seasons. Great fit for him with Warriors in every way

The part of Otto Porter’s game that has surprised Draymond Green Porter has been one factor in the Warriors’ rebounding resurgence that leads the NBA in defensive boards www.mercurynews.com/2021/11/05/the-part-of-otto-porters-game-that-has-surprised-draymond-green/Not sure why anyone is still surprised about Otto's rebounding. Afterall he grabbed 25 rebounds in the State Championship Final for Polk High in Sikeston, Missouri. and was a rebounding machine on the Hilltop. Alot of GM's and media just don't do their homework.

Otto is a great player, and seems to be a great person too. I was happy for him to leave the Wizards. He was greatly under appreciated! Glad he out there enjoying a winning team and in a great city, taking nothing away from DC!!
Go Otto, go Hoyas!!

I think Otto would have fit in well with the current iteration of the Wiz (11-5) with Wes Jr. coaching. The trade of ball dominant Westbrook for Kuzma, Caldwell-Pope and Harrell has worked well for the Wiz. But we'll never know.

There's isn't a more team-oriented ... team in the league, and Porter can slot in a Draymond/Looney-esque role with more shooting so easily.

Very efficient player when he plays - his effective FG % for players with at least 400 games played and 1 3PT / game is Top 20 in NBA history, ahead of Durant and Klay Thompson. He hopefully can have a long career like Kyle Korver, with health maybe Ariza (3 and D) even if he isn’t a Max player.
