And would our game time Sunday be at noon or 2:30 as noted on the Philly ticket sales sites I've seen or is that subject to change? Regardless of game-time, it would be the same ticket regardless of the time, correct? Yes, the ticket is for both games Sunday. I just know that in the past the game times have been "subject to change". Being in the East, early does make sense though.

The Sunday games are staggered all over the place on all four networks now, and there are Sunday night games as well. Wouldn't shock me at all if CBS took Duke at 5:00 to maximize ratings, and then we'd play (if we beat FGC-knock on wood) at 7:30 or so on TruTV or TBS. That sort of thing has happened the last couple of years. Unfortunately for planning purposes, the games on Sunday could be anywhere from noon to about 8 or 9pm. And they won't announce the times until after all the games on Friday so the networks can divide them up. Does not help the traveling ticketholder at all.

We just need to play our style of basketball--strong defense, strong defense, rattle them and rattle them early!

What are the chances of actually getting tickets this way? I am just a small time donor so should I just go the StubHub route?

I feel well informed now of their team. They are well coached, don't have much size after the top 5. They want to run and I didn't see them play a lick of zone for 4 games. They also turn the ball over quite a bit.
Comer is their PG. He is a stocky guy 6-2 or 6-3 ish. Can not shoot that well from the perimeter. Has a funky hitch in his shot.He loves to get into the lane and dish or create contact. Not a good finisher. He really tries to always make the highlight play when a simple pass is needed. Looks for Fieler, Brown and McKnight on lobs. Thompson is the other guard. he is like 6-3 ish. He can shoot off the catch very well. Is very quick and loves to cheat the passing lanes to get out for run outs. he doesn't really get into the lane much but is their most reliable perimeter shooter. Sherwood Brown is the small forward. A well built guy 6-4 guy who plays like fullback. Does a lot of posting up and scoring, Takes people off the bounce as well. Has a decent jumper. He leads them in rebounds. He is extremely physical in his drives and can leap. Chase Fieler is the guy I worry about. He is the 4/5 of the team. Plays a lot of center is 6-8 and is a great leaper. He is the one guy who is probably playing below his actually skill level. He should be playing at a MVC or MWC team. Can step out and shoot the three. Eric McKnight is the center he is 6-8, we actually recruited this guy for a bit. He is a slim athletic big who can run. Has really no post game that I saw. He is a good leaper as well but he also goes after every block and gets out of position. Only way he is a factor is if we don't rebound. Dajuan Graf is the back-up PG, He is quick but isn't a big outside shooter from what i saw. He is better at playing in control than Comer. Christopher Variedel is a back up guard who is your typical low major guard. Can shoot if left open but wilts under pressure. Eddie Murray is their back-up big they list him at 6-8 he looks like he is 6-6 to me. He can leap though. He also can crash the glass. They also a have a big euro who is 6-9 but he is rail thin and likes to shoot 25ft 3's he will not be a factor.
The one thing I also took away from watching them is their coach likes them to play free and easy. I don't really think they value each possession. Their guys in the comments I read already are saying that we'll speed them up crap which every team says but never can do or we just beat them at their game. I see this game as no different. This team is significantly worse than the Belmont team that won the Atlantic Sun last year.

One thing that this GU team does differently on defense than in the past is actually turn opponents over. I am much less worried with this team against a team that is sloppy with the ball than our past teams that may have let that advantage slide.
Also, we've played team of this caliber (according to Pomeroy rankings) at a fast pace a few times this season. We won at St. John's by 16, beat Texas by 23, DePaul by 24, and Seton Hall by 22. I would welcome playing this game at a faster pace.

Definitely check stub hub. No idea what the asking price will be but they won't be cheap. Thanks for the tremendous scouting report, dense.

I'd try through the other schools in our regional as well. I've had success that way in the past. Heck, FGCU probably has extras.

It appears Georgetown's free open practice will be on Thursday from 4:25 - 5:05 p.m ET.

Would love for this game to look like the Texas game. Hope we can run the press out there for a bit. 6'4 SF is going to have his hands full with Otto on the defense end, even if he sounds like a shorter version of Pinkston (who gave us a ton of trouble). Play defense like we have all year, and we should be ok.

Play defense and do not get into foul trouble. We will win going away.

Fla Gulf Coast is a #15 seed for a reason and possibly could have been a #16 seed. Hoyas should use this game for a tune up..... a possible rematch between Hoyas and VCU could happen.

No. The normal procedure(*) when you buy through a school is you pay up front for your Friday session AND the Sunday session. If your school loses on Friday, you're refunded the price of the Sunday ticket. Only the 4 schools who win Friday will have allotments for Sunday. (*GU is doing it all weird this year with the separate Friday and Sunday requests, so some folks might have a Friday but not Sunday ticket depending on requests/demand.)

Sunday there will be four schools there and each will have the same amount of tix that they had on Friday. Schools only get tix for the session they play in. So if your school loses Friday their season is over and they go home , no tic.
