i know nothing about fgcu basketball but my father was a teacher there a few years back. i visited the campus. lots of nice scenery (and i'm not talking palm trees). this was before they were a D1 school. if we play our normal game defensively we win easy.

I worry about every game so take this with a grain of salt. I was listening to ESPN Radio today and there was a discussion about FGC and all I could think of was how I didn't want us to draw them. Remember hearing they had a guard Thompson is pretty scrappy and generates steals so Kel, Bril, and DSR will have to watch out with their lazy passes. Have 4 players that can shoot the 3 and have 4-5 guys bigs (6'8-10") that get regular run. As mentioned in another post, they lead Duke at Duke 30-29 before Duke blew it open. Key games vs prominent teams: L @ VCU 80-57 (first game of the season)
W vs MIA 63-51 (2nd game) L @ Duke 88-67 (Down by 22 at halftime) L @ St. Johns 79-68 (Tied at halftime) L @ Iowa State 83-72 (Down by 4 at halftime)
Finished their season willing 12 of their last 14. Nothing about them necessarily stands out but they seem to be a senior-laden team that plays hard. I heard they turn the ball over a lot so that could play well into our style. That's the high level stuff I've found so far, as Kenpom seems to be inundated with users so it's not working. As lic said, no gimmes. Can't play down to our opponents level.
Now excuse me while I worry more than I probably should and lose more hair for the next few days.

Is there any chance our game could be later in the day? I doubt it. With Duke playing in Philly as well. They will probably get the early evening game, with the 7-10 matchup in their region (Creighton-Cincy) getting the late evening game. My guess is we get the first game of the day on Friday with San Diego State-Oklahoma being the late game of afternoon session.

No excuse if we can't beat this team. We must take care of the ball for 40 mins. The Hoyas will be ready. One game at a time ...

Outscored Blue Devils by 1 in the second half with outcome no longer in doubt.

SDSU/Oklahoma in the 1220pm game, and us at around 250p

But I dont know.

Other teams playing on Friday (excluding the 8 mentioned above) are Kansas-WKU; UNC-Nova; UCLA-Minn; Florida-NW St; Indiana-Play In Winner; NC State-Temple; Illinois-Colorado; Miami-Pacific; Notre Dame-Iowa State; Ohio State-Iona; Wisconsin-Ole Miss and Kansas State-Play In Winner No shortage of name programs so will be interesting to see what time slots each game gets

For what it is worth, I'm also predicting 12:20ish, but one never knows. I've heard from someone who has provided reliable info of this type in previous years that we'll be the late (9:30ish) game on Friday night. No reason to rush out and do anything with this info, but just a FYI.
