I would love another Jeff Green. Not sure if he was the best player in III's tenure (might give that to Otto), but skillset wise, I think he was the best fit for the offense. If Copeland turns into another Jeff Green, I'll be content.
Although I do think comparing players based on schools is subject to the same forces as comparing players of the same race. Would he be compared to Jeff Green if he wasn't going to GU? Would McDermott be the next Bird if he was black?

Isaac Copeland: F 6’8 200: Georgetown: Copeland is going to give the Hoyas something they lacked this season, a forward who can shoot the ball consistently from the outside. Whether it was off of a pick and pop or a face up 15 ft. shot Copeland was knocking his jumper down today. He isn’t overly athletic and needs some weight on his thin frame but he was hands down the best offensive frontcourt player here today. Copeland also gave UCLA signee Jonah Bolden fits with his on the ball defense utilizing his length and quick hands. www.nbadraft.net/derby-festival-classic-practice-notessaac Copeland, 6-9 power forward, Brewster Academy (NH) It’s hard to believe that just two years ago, Copeland couldn’t get off of the bench as a junior for state champion Ravenscroft in North Carolina. Fast forward two years and you have one of the 25 best players in the country. Copeland showed off his smooth J, crazy athleticism and much improved strength throughout the practice session. Expect Isaac to fit in perfectly at Georgetown, as his skill set is exactly what JT3 needs out of a power forward in the Princeton offense. www.slamonline.com/online/college-hs/high-school/2014/04/kentucky-derby-festival/

Off of memory copeland was 4-8 from the field. All baskets were open dunks. 0-3 from 3 and missed approx 15ft jumper. Also had a block.
Tough to evaluate a player in all star game but he certainly looked very long, athletic, and fluid. He didn't get that many touches so it was tough to evaluate his passing and ball handling.

The game was a dunk contest and then you win the actual Dunk Contest, it's a win win in my book.

www.newenglandrecruitingreport.com/news/article/3500/Final-2014-Rankings-Announced.phpI n 2014, the top ranked player in New England is actually making his debut in that spot. Isaac Copeland had a phenomenal season for Brewster Academy, all the while demonstrating tremendous long-term potential and the ability to make a quick and important impact at Georgetown. He shot up the national rankings to finish 15th overall in the ESPN 100 and sits atop our region as a result. I hope Jabril & Adams show the young kids the how to work in the weight room this summer.. Still a big fan of Bonzie Colson but you can't have them all
