1) I think Hibbert is the highest paid player on the roster 2) One of his biggest opportunities has been staying out of foul trouble 3) He had been generally awesome in the playoffs
Yeah, so sit him???

Reading Kirk Goldsberry and Zach Lowe on Grantland this season has caused me to radically rethink everything I thought I knew about basketball, especially defense. Goldsberry's latest on Hibbert is just another example, and high praise for the big fellow indeed:

A career high for Roy!
Nice trivia: "Roy Hibbert was on the court when James drove into the lane and turned the ball over with eight seconds remaining. James has one basket and four turnovers on drives to the basket in which Hibbert is on the floor in these two games. When Hibbert is off the court, James has four baskets (on five shots) and no turnovers on drives to the hoop."

11 pts, 5 hooks for Roy so far tonight... the summer at McD will be awesome... JT3 in the crowd tonight... Roy's play garners the "Georgetown influence", "long line of GU big men" comments from the announcers... great recruiting stuff!

In his post-game interview, Hibbert said "Go Hoyas, Go Pacers." When asked about John Thompson III being in attendance, Hibbert said that he had asked him for advice on defense.

Roy threw a "Go Hoyas" into his post game interview with Craig Sager. Roy is the man!
He is KILLING the Heat. They have no one who can slow him down at all, and his presence in the paint makes it hard on Lebron and Wade.
He's a heck of an advertisement for Georgetown. Just a great guy and a great player.

I don't think his presence in the paint can be stressed enough. When he is in the game, the Heat are rarely even trying to get to the rim. Huge impact on the game. Man, I can't stand the Heat.
