probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/08/31/video-george-hill-roy-hibbert-mess-with-pacers-fans/One of the most coveted areas to sit at Pacers home games is Area 55 — Roy Hibbert‘s personal cheering section. And they root for the team, too. These people try out and promise to be loud and crazy all game long — like soccer fans — and for that they get free tickets to every game. Hibbert conducted the tryouts and was calling up the winners, but George Hill decided to start clowning with the fans just for fun. And they pretty much don’t care because they got in Area 55.

He came out initially after blocking a Tyson Chandler drive to the hoop. Nice block too. He went back to the locker room and then was back on the bench.

Big Roy gets it Done with key play of the game1 espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dime-130518/daily-dimeExcerptThe most crucial play of the game came when Hibbert denied Anthony at the rim as he was going for a dunk. Anthony had made a strong move to get free of George and looked about ready to put the Knicks up four points with five minutes to play.
In fact, Anthony was two inches from those two points and a statement play that would've likely forced the Pacers to call a timeout to regroup. But Hibbert reached his hand into that one inch of airspace between a thunderous dunk and the rim and stopped Anthony cold with his fifth block of the game.
"I'm just doing my job; I do that all the time," Hibbert, who had 21 points and 12 rebounds, said. "I guess it was nice play. I'm a 7-foot-2 guy. I'm supposed to block shots."
Hibbert was being modest. He might talk about that play for the rest of his life.

From our friends at ESPN: "Indiana led the league in rebounding, defensive field goal percentage and defensive 3-point percentage while finishing second in points allowed per game during the regular season. It was no different in the playoffs, as the Knicks found out."

Roy Hibbert Didn't Block Melo. He high-fived god. Transcendent!
So proud of Roy, Roy Roy Roy, Roy Roy Royyyyyyyyy!
Hoyas can take notes on the rebounding and defensive prowess that has the Pacers advancing. Helpful that the accomplishment PERSISTS IN THE POSTSEASON!
