I had Sapp as the #5 player in the class. He was a top 5 recruit. Neither you nor I is Rivals, a valid recruiting service. So, I don't see your point, however hilarious it might have been. Top 100 is not a science and never going to be unanimous. All 3 players were Top 100 players. What am I missing. When Sapp was signed, the Washington Times reported that he was 69th rated high school player, according to Rivals. 'Tis what 'tis.

Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 1h Must be noted, Leonard Hamilton was at nearly every game of Dwayne Bacon's this past July. Kids do take note of this stuff. True priority
Cheatham said the same thing today about the Marquette head coach.. Wojo was at all his games during the Youth challenge which was played the same time as Peach Jam..

If we finish this years recruiting class up with; Dozier, Crawford, and Fall we should be good at every position.

On many of the recruiting sites, it lists the head coach as one of the "recruited by" but I've never seen JT3 listed. I know from this board that he's attended these events and such, but is he a hands off guy when it's direct contact/recruiting or does he have an actual role?
If not, maybe it's time to get him more involved considering the above comments about Cheatham and Bacon.

We've left scholarships on the table in the past, we really need to fill the roster for 2015. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying take any and everyone but we should grab our targets. Its one thing to be the top recruiting class in our conference but it simply means so much more when we compete on and off the court with other house power schools.

It's easy to say this but it's much harder to actually go out and get these kids. High schoolers are notoriously volatile, so sometimes no matter how much effort you put in, it may not yield the results you want. And I don't think anyone thinks the staff isn't doing everything it can to get the best players we can get. The nature of recruiting simply dictates that you can't always have success. And that is always going to be the bottom line.

My vision maybe blurred and my thoughts are often swayed but I can't imagine a better place or opportunity to bring home that elusive second championship. To be a part of Hoya history and restore the paranoia would simply be awesome! Off the court, lets look at the rich history of Georgetown grads. We've had some pretty outstanding people come through the doors of GU. These kids really need to grasp the true worth of a GU diploma and the doors that diploma opens.

The problem is that most of these kids think they'll make the league and don't care about the diploma.

The problem is that most of these kids think they'll make the league and don't care about the diploma. Values!!!!!!!!! The best ones don't need to think of degrees. They get drafted on "potential" that may or may not be realized. They don't, for the most part, get drafted on skills or smarts (basketball or otherwise).
