Off the board to MD. Oh well. I like DSR and Jabril as our PGs. And hope to lure Wiley here after that although that seems to be an uphill battle.

Maryland fans acting like the just one the Ncaa’s… lol…
Would have been nice to land Peters but I feel he’s overhyped a bit. Good player but not mad on to the next

Back on the market. Think Hoyas pursue? Don't see why not. If we're going after Bryant Crawford that means we want another PG in '15. I'm more curious about Shaq Cleare though.... UMD fans always seem frustrated with him but he would have started for us this year. Curious to know whether we'd be interest in light of all the talks over adding bigs....

It's do or die time for Turgeon, and Peters' minutes weren't going to increase after a disappointing freshman season and Wiley and Trimble coming in. Still, not a good look for Turgeon that his top 3 rated players of the past three classes are transferring out.

I wouldn't want to enter the Big Ten which is much better then the ACC without some seasoned players. How you give up on a kid (or he gives up on you) after one season is shocking. Especially with a marquee recruit like Peters. I can get it with guys like Wattad, Mescherikov and other late season signings but this doesn't bode well for the terps. I say get them on the schedule ASAP.

I know a lot of Maryland fans weren't too sad to see him go. Felt like he was careless with the ball and was one dimensional. A few sympathetic fans felt that he needed to get out of the DC area for a fresh start. Not sure if that is a priority for him or not. He was an Assault kid, so I'm guessing the Dalonte Hill departure and Curtis Malone arrest didn't help. I'm of the camp that feels we need another ball handler on the team, so I'd like to see another guard in the roster, but if he had to sit out a year, I'm not sure if he's a better fit than other '15 targets.

I've really liked Peters' game a lot for a while. The knock on him according to Terps fans was that he's a turnover machine, but what do you expect from a freshman point guard? With a year off as a transfer, he could develop into a real nice player with 3 years of eligibility left. If he worked out for us, it would be a real nice story that would make some waves locally with implications for recruiting down the road. On the heels of Markel getting NBA looks, it would show that we can develop guards now, and we can do it better than our cross-town rival. Sticking a finger in UMD's eye would be a nice bonus.
The issue I have is that he'd be the same class as Campbell. I know people say recruiting over kids is part of the game and healthy competition is normal, but something just seems unsavory with bringing in a player who will wind up being in the same class after sitting out a year at the same position as a freshman. Maybe they could play together in the backcourt, but I'm just not sure there will be minutes available. I'd be much more comfortable with getting a '15 player like Crawford, Trier, or Mann who will be a year below Campbell and will be needed much more by their sophomore year when DSR graduates. But I wont deny that bringing Peters on board would mean additional talent in the backcourt. At the least it might put some pressure on other '15 guards to sign earlier before their spot gets taken. Last issue are the rumors of him having some personal issues with staying close to home and speculation that he needs to get out of the DMV.
End of the day I wouldnt be opposed, but staff needs to a. really do its due diligence, b. take a cold hard look at what our situation is with '15 recruits, and c. think hard about how this impacts Tre and whether he can share the backcourt with Peters...

Oh, and I should add that I think Turgeon is a garbage coach, and that one's performance under him should not be too indicative of their overall potential. Wouldn't be too surprised to see Peters thrive elsewhere

Why, are you hearing something? I don't know anything, just the way you wrote the question sounded a little leading, and I am hoping for a continued string of good news in the coming weeks.
