basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1626206The highest ranked player of the bunch, Bryant Crawford of Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga hit the floor with a chip on his shoulder. The 6-foot-2 junior said that he wasn't satisfied with how his high school season went and that No. 51 was looking to prove he still belonged as a top tier prospect. Crawford definitely looked to be fully recovered from last summer's knee injury that hampered him some during the season. He had a little more explosion to his first step, had defenders bouncing off of him on his way to the rim and he was shooting the ball better off the dribble between 15 and 20 feet. According to Crawford, Indiana, Georgetown and West Virginia -- where he's looking to visit soon -- have been working him the hardest. He also mentioned Louisville and Kansas as teams that were out during the season who plan to watch him this spring and summer. "I feel like I need to get my name back out there," Crawford told Rivals.com. "Everything that people say I can't do I'm trying to prove that I can do."

hardwoodInsiders.com @insiders13 15h Just watched the showdown between @teamfinalhoops and @ksteamtakeover and Bryant Crawford @heyyacee absolutely dominated #SummerCircuit Randy Miller @r_Miller12 15h Coaches, remember this name: Bryant Crawford. TTO 17u. Combo guard who gets it done on both ends. @ksteamtakeover @hooplove215 www.hardwoodinsiders.com/2014/04/team-takeover-v-team-final/Team Takeover began to feed off of their coach’s energy and raised their intensity to a completely different level. The leader of this charge was Bryant Crawford, a 6’2 175lb point guard who has scholarship offers from nearly everyone including Indiana, Georgetown and Maryland to name a few. Crawford started the Takeover run with a flurry of 3-pointers that touched absolutely nothing but the bottom of the net and the floor as they passed through the basket. Even with Crawford exploding on the offensive end, Team Final was still able to take a 40-39 into the half. But when the second half opened up Crawford picked up exactly where he left off in the first half. He continued to knock down jumpers, sprinted the floor for easy transition layups and hounded Team Final guards as he sat in front of the Team Takeover press. Eventually Crawford’s Takeover teammates began to follow his lead and in the last 6 minutes they widened their lead as Marcus Derrickson and Kevin Dorsey took turns scoring.

Does the fact that Kenny Johnson is leaving Indiana change anything with Crawford? Are we still in the mix? I would hope Markel's play and development has changed some guards' opinion of how we play and use our point guard's. Lastly, we keep hearing about Trier and Mann but not a lot on Crawford lately. Who are our priorities out of those three, and are they all ahead of Reaves? Crawford seems like the truest pg, Mann/Trier are combo guards and Reaves is a sg/wing. Would we just want one of each?

The thing is if Indiana is bad this year I doubt Crean survives. The fans are calling for his head already.

Regarding Crawford, I think Nova is a bigger threat than IU at this point. Yes we’re still in the mix and he knows the offense isn’t restrictive. I think priorities are Trier and then everyone else.. I would think the staff would only take one of Reaves/Mann but no inside info there. Reaves is probably the least skilled but might have the greatest potential and it’s been said before the kid is a very hard worker. Staff was smart to offer before AAU season because he’s about to see his recruiting heat up

And if Kenny Johnson ends up at MD, that's not good either.

Only have room for two. If all four of Trier, Mann, Reaves and Crawford told the staff that the Hoyas were #1 on their lists, I believe only two could be taken. The other open schollies would go to bigs.

Rather have him at MD too. MD is the UA flagship school Takeover is a Nike signature program, going to be tough for UMD to become a pipeline for Takeover kids based on that alone.

You're right though Villanova will be heavily in the mix and in need of a replacement for Arcidiacono.. Should be an interesting spring..

Agree. New rules give the advantage to guards/players who can drive. Having Crawford, Josh and Tre would give us a defensive dimension and a motion offense that we've not had for a very long time. Crawford will get our shooters easy shots. Lastly, if the shot clock goes to 24 or 30, we'll be really happy if we have a guard like Crawford.

The way Broadus was tracking Trier this year I would find that hard to believe. B&G might have more insight though. Gotta think if the staff believes DSR can run the point they think Trier can also, and he’s the best shooter/scorer by far..

Think Trier would be the most adept at taking advantage of those rules out of all the guards mentioned. When it comes to putting pressure on defenses, scoring the basketball, and being able to get baskets as the clock is ticking down, Trier is better than those guys at this stage

The staff has been on Crawford pretty hard too though and with the weapons the program will have in 2015 Crawford's ridiculous passing abilities would work well.. Trier is a big time scorer no doubt, he's tremendous in transition but in the game against Diallo's team he didn't seem to be much of a passer/facilitator.. The little kid and Pat McCaw handled the ball much more than he did..

But in his defense that Montrose team needs him to score there wasn’t a lot of talent on that team… I don’t think it comes down to one or the other but between Tre Crawford and Reaves whose going to provide outside shooting? Crawford passing ability is great but if other teams can just pack in the paint then that skill is mitigated..

Problem of Dog, I think you were down on the kid. Has your opinion changed at all with his recent play or have you seen him play recently?

I’ve never heard Crawford described as a good shooter but ok, how is he off catch and shoot? Also coming off screens or shooting off the dribble??
