In what way? I'm not in the DC area, so not able to really follow the local recruits. Averaging below 9ppg, dealing with injuries, Gonzaga losing tons, and the fact that his shot has been horrible all season… He’s always going to be a high level distributer and good defender but his shot hasn’t been close to good enough to keep defenses honest... Would you not take him anymore? By the way, I saw some students at yesterday's game holding up a big head of what looked like a recruit...was it Crawford?

He hasn't stepped up to be their "guy", which would be fine if he were facilitating and making it easy for everyone else. But unfortunately, his supporting cast has been pretty terrible as well.

No too sure about the Bighead and I would think so but haven’t seen him this year enough to say… POD might be able to answer that one better...

If you've seen him play before he got injured, you know he is a get. He's finally back healthy and looking good.

(1) Interesting to see that Gonzaga gave O'Connell all they could handle last night, with O'Connell eking out a 69-68 win at Gonzaga behind Melo Trimble's 47 points. Crawford with 8 in the losing effort. I wasn't at the game/have no clue how he played, but just thought I'd pass that along ... (2) Re; the fatheads at the Hoya game Saturday (and at least one game before). I know two of them were of Marcus Derrickson and Josh Reaves (both Paul VI). I thought I recognized one as Reaves, and went up to the student holding that head. She had to look at the back of it (where it said "Josh Reaves") to confirm it was him and had no clue whos he was or really why she was holding it up... Not sure if there was a Crawford fat head in addition to those or not...

Considering you're a Gonzaga guy who was slurping Kris Jenkins last year, I'll take this with a grain of salt. Or ignore it completely. I'd still take him, but I think it really depends on how he plays this summer.

I remember this DOG guy. Down boy. . .I was right then and I'm right now. Last I checked, Jenkins is playing 10-15 minutes a game for the No 6 team in the country.
Crawford is a throw back dish first point guard, who can score when necessary. He's fun to watch (as is Melo - and a bunch of SJC and Paul VI kids who dont go to Gonzaga)

Jenkins is terrible. He's not even better than Josh Hart, who we didn't want.
And man, what a wasted year from Crawford. Can't even blame this one on injuries, just no development.

You're down on Josh Hart too? He's playing 20 minutes a game and averaging almost 8 pts a game (5th best on Nova) for the No 8 team in the country - as a freshman.
I like Reggie Cameron but Hart and Jenkins are both having better years on a better team. Just a fact.

Wasn't Hart averaging about 18 or more points early on in the season leading may HT posters to claim that missing out on him was like the greatest recruiting mistake by the Hoyas of all time?

But Jenkins is averaging 3.3 ppg in 10 minutes a game while shooting 33% from the floor. That's just about as terrible as Cameron. So no, Jenkins is not having a better year. He better hope he doesn't eat himself all the way to the end of the bench by the end of his college career.

Posted this under Reaves, but relevant here too: Crawford only third team all WCAC this year (17 guys ahead of him on ten man first and seven man second teams). I have no dog ("Dog"?) in this particular fight, but the one time I saw Crawford (Paul VI blowing Gonzaga out at Gonzaga) there wwas no there "there" to see, and the third team status in a mediocre at best year for Gonzaga doesn't give me much reason to think we should care much here... www.dcsportsfan.com/posts/331022-wcac-basketball-all-conference/

Are there any experts still considering him to be the #1 pg?

Are there any experts still considering him to be the #1 pg? Nope. I don't know when he was the #1 PG. Maybe as a 12 year old?

His passing & handling abilities look to be off the charts good.. Not a fan of the form on his jumper though, kinda reminds me of Jabril's jumper..
I got the impression he wasn't interested in attending G'town though, has that changed?
