Did anyone see him play while at Louisville? How did he look, overmatched? Going back to the high school highlight videos, he looks like someone who dominated in high school with his size and athleticism. Probably less "skilled" than Dickerson, but maybe fits the role that JTIII was looking for in him? Losing both Hopkins and Smith will hurt next year and it would be nice to get another big body to rebound, etc. Govan obviously fills that need, but Derrickson seems to be more of a perimeter type, and it is yet to be seen what Mourning and Hayes will provide. Derrickson is a very good rebounder. The best comp for Derrickson game is Draymond Green. He can score in the post and perimeter.

Good comp; big bodied kid who is a bit of a tweener but excellent offensive skills and can score from all three levels. As for Agau, seems like he might be able to fill the Hopkins role: athletic kid who can rebound and defend. As Copeland, White, Campbell, and Peak develop I think we'll have plenty of offensive threats but will need rebounders and post defenders. Plus, it looks like Agau will be the same class as Cameron and would provide more class balance to our roster.

We have any shot here? Can'timagine he would leave Lvile and come further east if he was homesick.

I believe the homesick thing was just speculation by random Louisville fans. Not sure there's anything to that. He's leaving because he's not playing and Louisville has a lot of bigs.

Oh, thanks Daymond. Did not realize. Let the delusion commence!

IMO we need another "true center" or at a least a C/PF type player, preferably a 6-10 to 7 footer that can block shots. Not sure we have minutes for him with Copeland, Mourning, White, and Derrickson unless we play white at the SG position like we did Whitt.

I've been hoping to see more Hayes sightings but it's all up to JTIII and Hayes of course. But to be honest we've got the scholarships and we could afford another center as well as a couple of good SF/SG/PG's.

Agree, eastcoast, getting a C is a priority. JT3 and staff should be looking everywhere. Where's that ESPN article on the new recruiting trends that was posted some time ago? A few ideas on how to do it...

I disagree think he would be a welcomed addition and would compete for a ton of playing time.. Kid is smart defends, rebounds finishes in the paint etc.. There’s always a spot on your team for a kid like that

He is exactly the kind of player this team should be looking to add for next year's squad.
Great job by the staff getting him here for an official.

He was behind the bench today according to several reports.

If you taped the game, go back and look for the kid sitting directly behind the bench with a blue hoodie on. That's him.
Derrickson was sitting behind the bench as well.

If he was, in fact, there, that's a nice game for him to come see the Hoyas play. . .and give him the chance to dream about playing with Peak, Copeland, White and Campbell.

#82 RSCI in the class of 2013. By comparison, Joshua Smith was #20 RSCI in his class. I'm fine with this kid if we get him, as he'd be a nice depth piece in the frontcourt. But he's not a game changer...
