Of the guard prospects we are after, I would take Booth above them all. I really don't understand why people seem to be down on him - could be his ranking - but the kid gets it and would be a great addition to whatever school he chooses. That being said, Georgetown has been third in this race for a minute behind Indiana and Villanova. Even the class of 15’ kids we’re after?

Really is the slow season. I think talking about Hoya recruits is fun but given the turnover in staff during the past two weeks, none of us can really be certain how the "targets" might have changed. The kids pick programs based upon who the coach is, the other players and the assistants. Turnover among assistants can change the equation significantly.

I'd have to take a long look at a list of guards Georgetown has been mentioned as involved with for '15, but to clarify, I meant the class of '14. I would definitely take Crawford over Booth, but other than that, no one really stands out. Crawford is talented, but for other reasons outside of basketball, I wouldn't automatically take him over Booth. I've never seen Terance Mann play in person, so I can't say about him. And there's no way Jay Wright doesn't accept a commitment from Booth right now with the amount of time and effort he has put into his recruitment.

I would agree with you if you’re talking 2014 but tbh I don’t think we’re on any other guard prospects in 2014...

Depends on who you ask, but word is he's a lock to Villanova. However, if so, you would think he would've committed by now, especially with the guards out there that Nova is recruiting.
We'll see, but I'd love to have him. Booth at the 1, Peak at the 2 and Ike at the 3 with Tre filling in off the bench and that's the foundation of a team that will be cutting down nets.

Now that the staff has missed out on both Booth & Wiley and it's not looking great for Robert Johnson either who's next on the combo guard list for '14?

We don't need another combo guard in 2014. We are good with DSR, Campbell, Peak, Jabril and even Riyan Williams.

We don't need another combo guard in 2014. We are good with DSR, Campbell, Peak, Jabril and even Riyan Williams. I don't see how this can be the case considering how hard the staff worked to get both Booth & Wiley and they're making a strong run at Robert Johnson also. Doesn't that tell us the staff sees a need at the position? DSR & Jabril are givens and I hope Tre improves enough to warrant immediate pt in his 1st year.. However as much as I've come to like Peak's game he isn't a ball handler at all right now, some think that's the weakest aspect of his game.. He's a sf who will have to transition into a guard/ball handler role but it can't be banked on as it could for Booth, Wiley & Johnson.. If you're seriously counting on a possible walk-on as a contributor then the staff really should be out looking at other players
