Will Calhoun agree to actually resign and put a non-recidivist cheat in charge? That would be a deal. Of course, knowing UConvict, the promise would be made with fingers crossed and thus would not actually bind them.
As an aside, what they are actually prposing is to allow them to play in the highest exposure tournament in exchange for giving up the Quinnipiac, CConn State, Sacred Heart and Bridgeport games while also promising that Stenosis boy won't go on trip which are too painful for him to make ayway.
Big time offer by the Huskies.

Because they are playing in a exempt tournament next season, it would mean 26 games, not 23.
And no off-campus visits for Calhoun the seven day contact periods, but all his assistants do? Ah, penalties...

Makes me sick. 1-2 walk ons max, unless you have a St. Johns situation and have no other choice.

And we now know why Calhoun got Herpes, Warts or whatever the F he's claiming he's out with. BTW--anyone paying attention notice....he's done interviews and what a "warriors" through the pain.
Someone just put him/them out of their misery--Death Penalty (NCAA Wise)

I wonder if UConvict's president Susan Herbst listed pathetic groveling as a job skill on the resume she submitted for the job? If not she can certainly add it on her next one.

This is genius. Whenever I'd get in trouble as a kid and my mommy would initially punish me, she TOTALLY let me substitute my own plan for a punishment that had absolutely no bite and taught me nothing. Worked like a charm.

Can we preemptively volunteer to forfeit UConn's contribution to the Big East's tourney revenues first, so that UConn can't include that in their offer?
Also, assuming the ban is upheld, if UConn were to win the BET, then would the Big East lose out on an auto-bid? If so, then why would the conference even allow UConn into the BET in the first place?!?

Here's my compromise:
Calhoun resigns, admits to every slimy thing he's done, UConn willfully forfeits every game he's coached and pays back every single dollar of NCAA revenue (not from the BE -- UConn pays it back).

And then stick him at a boring desk job like Vic Mackey! Can you imagine how last-episode-of-The Shield-like it would be if Fagin confessed to every slimy thing he's done? The look of horror on the faces of the NCAA officials interviewing him would be worth the price of admission.

Dana nailed it. If the NCAA caves they lose what little credibility they have left.

I'm enjoying this thread immensely. I just hope in a few weeks we aren't back blowing off steam about how the NCAA let UConn skate.
