Rutgers forces a lot of turnovers. 17th in the country in defensive TO%. Taking care of the ball will be important again.

Not much offensive production from the Knights. They're currently 14th in the BIg East in terms of points per game; only USF and St Johns are scoring less. Forgive me for anticipating a truly ugly slopfest in the vein of PC or Howard.

They play a lot like Pitt's teams under Howland and intially under Dixon played--so value the ball, answer their physical play and deliver blow first--don't wait to respond. They are weak inside and Hoyas need to feed Henry and he has to play well.

No idea why but the game is on ABC in Philadelphia. that's happened before for some of the "MASN" games this season...seems the Philly ABC station is a "Big East Network" affiliate, as is SNY, which will also be carrying this game.

Rutgers is a much better defensive team than an offensive team. I'd actually say that while we are the better team, this is not on the great end of the spectrum in terms of matchups for us.
They forces turnovers and we have issues with that.
Their biggest problem defensively is that they foul often, and we are not the team to take huge advantage of that -- we aren't great at creating fouls and we've been slumping a bit at the line.
On the flipside, they don't have a lot of size (so Henry should be able to work) and they are not a strong rebounding team. If we get after the boards like at DePaul, we should be able to exploit that.
Pomeroy has us as a 13 point favorite, but if Rutgers is simply shooting well -- and that can happen -- their defense can create issues for us. They are a streaky team, and those always make me nervous.

Guard Eli Carter on the perimeter. The kid can shoot the rock.

yes brasky, don't let carter get off and we should be fine. Their backcourt like the whole team is young but Carter and davis can light it up real quick.

If Rutgers beats us on Saturday, it would be their 1st road win this season. Cannot take this game lightly, but this is a game we should win.

the key is to defend them like they've never been defended before. Then take advantage of break opps, while running our stuff in the halfcourt. ha ha ha...I guess that's the game plan for all of the opponents.
