Some great additions. Whoever said Jay Murphy above was spot on. That guy killed us and the fans HATED on him big time during games.
I didn't hate Ray Allen as much as others. He actually was pretty quiet on the court and let his play do the talking. His shot to beat us in the 1996 Big East tournament championship was extremely painful, but we actually had a better shot to beat them at the last second (cough cough 'Rome), and it clanked off.
When I think back about 1996 vintage, I didn't hate Allen, Kittles, or John Wallace that much. That was a terrific year for the Big East with some absolutely dynamite players leading the conference.

Forgot about him. An (effective) bull in a china shop. High on the list.

I like that people listed James Worthy rather than Jordan for the 82 championship, even though Jordan hit the game winning shot. So many have envisioned that game as Jordan vs Ewing based on their later careers. Having said that, I don't feel any hatred towards Worthy. That game, especially in the last ten minutes, was Worthy coming down and hitting a tough shot and Sleepy Floyd coming down and matching it. Despite the outcome, one of the best games ever to have watched.

Scott Skiles (with apologies to my Spartan wife), Billy Donovan, Ramon Rivas (by default because I kind of like Mark Macon), and most of all Christian Laettner

Can't believe no one has said Pittsnoggle. The only redeeming feature for that guy is it's fun to say Pittsnoggle. Pittsnoggle.

Can't take Pinone seriously on this list. Couldn't jump more than 6 inches off the ground. BTW isn't he finishing up 6 months at Danbury.
My Nos 1. is Andre "The Mad Rapist" Hawkins despised him since his cheap shots at Patrick back in High school provoking a fight.
Nos 2. Anyone who played at Muryland in the 70s
Nos 3. Ronnie Lester

I would like to cast an Honorable Mention vote for Carl Krauser and that stupid X gesture he used to do over his head. He played at Pitt for at least 10 years, looked like he was 35 years old and was a classic Pitt streetball playing cheap shot artist (poked Allen Ray's eye out in BE tournament).

I find it hard to have any issue with Pitt players. For the most part, I've really thought that the GU-Pitt contests over the past decade to be some of the most hard-fought and quality basketball games we've played, win or lose. And it's particularly easy to enjoy them because we gave as good as we got.
Also struggling to find issue with most of the ND players as "most hated" -- at least when we played them. Harangody was a goon, and Troy Murphy was an even taller goon. but both were not all that objectionable. Neither were Matt Carroll or Colin Falls -- all they did was hit their shots. And I always thought that Ryan Humphrey was a class act -- even though he got the better of Mike Sweetney.
Now UConn players? that's a whole 'nother ball of wax. Can't believe that Jake "BackStreetBoy" Voskuhl hasn't been mentioned yet. Or Khalid "short round" El-Amin. Twitching just at the thought of those two.

Brandon Rozzell and Armon Bassett. Ugh. I audibly groaned when I read this, so I guess you win. Way to ruin my morning.

sleepy - John Pinone scored over 2,000 points in his career. Before Ewing arrived, he would regularly cause the Hoyas big problems. And we hated him with a passion because of his loathsome characteristics (i.e., no vertical leap, but very effective interior play). In my mind, he is a very serious candidate for any Top 10 most hated Hoya opponent player list.
