This Jerome Williams connection could start paying some handsome dividends...

Jerome connected to Findlay prep? He's on staff there. "Director of Player Development" www.findlayprep.com/Findlay is one of THE top hoops prep schools in the country. I have no idea how Jerome ended up there, but it could turn out to be very beneficial to our Hoyas!

Scouting Report from ESPN
Strengths: Williams-Goss has great size and skill for the point guard position. He has a high basketball IQ and his decision making is pretty solid. He always has his head up while in transition and his passing is quite good. In terms of scoring he has a nice runner in the lane. Defensively, he slides his feet fairly well and he has quick hands. In addition, he appears to have natural leadership skills as he is quite vocal on the court.
Weaknesses: Williams-Goss isn't blessed with great speed and quickness. Quicker guards can get into him and cause him to be very turnover prone. He changes speeds pretty well, but he lacks that highly coveted 2nd gear. His jump shot is just fair at this stage and he lacks lift on his shot.
Bottom line: Williams-Goss has nice size and a good amount of skill for the 1 at the next level. He'll need to get stronger and faster to handle other point guards at the next level-thus it will be interesting to see how his body develops in the coming seasons. In addition, his pull-up game and range on his jump shot needs to get much more consistent as well.

When I saw Williams-Goss this Summer, he was 2nd best guard at event behind Wichita State signee Fred Van Fleet--whose team won the tournament. He played an excellent style of play and have been a big fan of his for past 2 Summers. He also was playing on a bad ankle---as training room was next to lower level of gym and walking to see games he was in there with his ankle heavily taped. Guy is tough as nails and has great on court demeanor and leadership skills but isn't a slouch athlete.
Glad to see him mention Hoyas.

Nice to have interest from this kid. Does he play in the same backcourt with Amedeo Della Valle '12? Who primarily plays the point?

article today from Jerry Meyer on Rivals again stated G'Town interest but no offer yet:
Offers are in from Washington, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Harvard, Miami, Oklahoma and UNLV. Louisville and Georgetown haven't offered yet but are showing strong interest in Williams-Goss.

Williams Goss had 20 pts today and a great floor game in win over Gorman--Findlay won by about 15. Most impressive--Williams Goss guarded Shabazz Muhammed mosf of the game and held him to a poor shooting night and really gave him trouble--as he unlike the DeMatha team--forced Muhammed to shoot outside and go to his offhand (right) which bothered him. Most of Muhammed's points came late on uncontested putbacks and when game was decided.
Really like this guy's game and love Winston Shepard--aka Michael Kidd Gilchrist "light". Not as good--but has knack for same type of energy plays and locks up guys on defense. Needs a lot of improvement offensively--but type of kid who helps a program win games without needing to score.

RDF, so who'd u take Jordan or Nigel? The guy who wants to come. Williams Goss is type who would excel at PG at Georgetown--and he's a defensive force-he can guard 3 different positions and is a smart player. Jordan is an explosive athlete with toughness and more of an ability to score and get team in transition more. I'm a huge fan of the Hoyas getting a kid like Jordan because he's type who could change other recruits opinions of Hoyas program/PG position, but Williams Goss is a winner and wouldn't be a big drop off. Love his defensive mentality and fact he's used to playing with other elite players and that's a big advantage that often isn't discussed when evaluating players. How will they handle having to adjust how they play in college with other great players?

I believe they actually take classes at an actual school, but their basketball team is unaffiliated.

The kid Del Valle was mentioned as a possible target some time ago as well. i was impressed with his game too. Not as much of a defensive player as Goss but seemed to have good instincts, a great stroke and good size and aggreessiveness.
