That last offensive series for the Hoyas looked pretty bad. Maybe they should think about using a huddle.

Fumble recovery by Georgetown to stop a Lafayette drive at the Gtown 22. Georgetown up 14-13 with 1:10 to go in the fourth. If they run out the clock they win.

Great sack by Schatzke to end the game. Three man rush on a hail mary attempt. Hoyas win.

This will not be good for bogie's mental state and Tavani should be ashamed for not taking us seriously two years in a row. Bring on Yale.

Georgetown: undefeated in 2011. Lafayette: winless in 2011.
Maybe it was better for the Lafayette fans that this wasn't available for them on TV...
Hell yeah, go Hoyas! Sounded like an ugly game, but a win is a win, especially in the Patriot League. Beat Yale.

Way to go Hoyas!! Hows Lafayette supposed to do in PL this year? I know that historically they are usually top 3. How did the fumble happen was it forced? Again, congrats to the football players? Keep up the hard work and it will keep paying off

DFW - your recap on the HoyaSaxa football page says "1999 Last 2-0 start for GU" Weren't the Hoyas 2-0 to start last year as well?
On the plus side, you didn't refer to it as "Multi-Purpose Field" as the Allentown Morning Call does. They also have a photo gallery of the "Penn State vs Alambama" game. The recession has clearly hit the spelling and fact checkers of the Lehigh Valley hard.

Wait, am I reading this schedule right? We now have FIVE straight road games? We return home for Homecoming on October 22 vs. Colgate, then two weeks later vs. Fordham... and that's it? We only have FOUR home games, and seven road games this year? Seems strange, and kind of unfair to the kids.

At least one of those five road games, albeit the last one, is back in DC. And with Howard Homecoming festivities already started but the actual Homecoming game not until the following weekend, we could outdraw Howard at their own stadium, given enough effort.
