Btw, the fact that Trey Mourning is his high school's senior class president speaks to the fact that I think he'd be a solid young man and leader on our team. We all know our last walk-on that was senior class president (Jonathan Wallace) turned out to be quite the 4-year contributor.

No Etomic - I have no inside info. Simply relying on previous post - fully salted. Guess I should have inclulded a few more "ifs" in there. Sorry. I stand by the thought process in my post, but it will only apply IF Trey decides to come to GU.

I stand by the thought process in my post, but it will only apply IF Trey decides to come to GU. As I've said a million times now, yes, reasoned heads on both sides will be transparent with each other and figure out what the best path is here. My only point on top of that -- which still stands -- is that the staff needs to account for the two opposite extremes being discussed in this thread. 1. If Trey gets a schollie offer from another school (Florida) and/or promised playing time that he doesnt get at Gtown. 2. What happens if he comes to Gtown and things don't pan out? Clear communication on both these issues will be big, and I have no doubts the staff and the Mournings will take care of that. From here on out, we can all sit back and wait to see how the '15 class shapes up....

Well, he's not on Twitter at all anymore. He does have an instagram account, but it's mostly about soccer.

Will be very happy if he ends up a Hoya. I feel like he may be a late bloomer, and, regardless, we need a big. It will be great to see Alonzo at more Georgetown games, and I have a hunch he may turn out well, like Glenn Robinson III or Tim Hardaway Jr.

Aren't we salivating over LJ Peak for the same numbers even though its regular high school competition?

He has a nice stroke. I have no doubt that Zo will get him ready.

Not a bad late pick-up to round out a class. We definitely will have the room with the combination of our current seniors and GW out of the mix.

I wouldn't take this too seriously, but it's from less than a month ago and claims that Georgetown is NOT going to offer: "Trey Mourning (6-9, 210, Miami, FL Ransom Everglades): Yes, the name does sound familiar and yes, he’s Alonzo Mourning’s son. Georgetown isn’t going to offer and the parental units are starting to warm up to Florida as an academic institution. They like Harvard, but Tommy Amaker has a nearly full roster. Trey shoots the 3-ball well and it’s encouraging to see him willing to bang a bit more. He camped at Florida in the summer and made a very good impression on the UF coaching staff." www.gatorcountry.com/florida-gators-basketball/florida-gators-basketball-recruiting/basketball-confidential-week-good-news/Just like I was very unhappy that we didn't take a chance on 6'11" Noah (who had great "genes" and was given his first basketball from Patrick), I'll be upset if we don't somehow find a way to get this man to Georgetown. At least PE, Jr. got to spend his final two years on the hilltop!!! #HoyaSaxa #WeAreGeorgetown

Not saying he's right, but assuming that there's some truth to Georgetown not offering, could it be so that he wouldn't count against scholarship numbers? I know this has probably been covered somewhere in this thread, but if he's not offered, and never takes an official visit, could he theoretically walk on? I'm not saying that he shouldn't be offered, but maybe Georgetown and the Mournings have been talking, and this is the best way for Trey to be on the team, and also still have room to fill up the roster with other great talent.

I hope we don't short change the Mourning family if we really want the kid. He should be offered a scholarship and shown the proper love if JT3 feels he fits into what we want on the Hilltop. We are watching this kid turn into a beast. If he develops Zo's beast mode to go along with the finesse game he will be a great player. Trey is being recruited by Florida so the kid obviously is impressing people.............
