MikeWiseguy Mike Wise It's just your everyday 47-13 run here in Cleveland. Cinderella is getting gangsta-slapped right now.

Coach K went into his "prevent offense" and let Michigan back into the game-old coaches get nervous with lead late--play the clock and stall--then have to get hurried shot with under 10 on shot clock.
Michigan got a good shot--just was hoping Hardaway JR would've gotten the ball but at least it was a good look from their 2nd best offensive player.

Solid look by Michigan but i would have gone for the win. Both Novak and Douglass were trailing on the wing and were open.

That prevent offense has hurt Gtown several times in the past. "Perfection doesn't exist--but you can't improve if you refuse to accept the fact you don't know all either." No comment It's a post like this that symbolizes Georgetown basketball's attitude lately.. An out of touch, uninformed person living in the past, who hides like a scared child when the people he doesn't care for are proven correct in their take on the program--so he wants to throw a haymaker and instead delivers an open handed slap. Then when the haymakers fly--he begs for help or runs away and hides. Whether you like how the message is delivered or not--can't say the message has been incorrect. But way to try and sneak in and get a punk slap in--that's how a lot of you guys act after the team goes south due to the issues that have been discussed for years continues to take them down. For a guy who talks about flowers and the bigger scope of life--you behave like a guy who wants to engage in the nastier side of things with us who tend to take issue with how the program has performed/needs to do to change. Since this is a basketball board and not a social board for flowers/bunnies and how we need to count our blessings that we're not dead, either talk basketball or PM me any shot you feel free to get off your chest. EDITED. Just think you're completely out of your element here and if you want to get into it--don't do it like the Hoyas play in NCAA's--at least grow a set and fire away. If you think I take shots at you, please read the shots you have repeatedly taken at me, including the post I'm quoting. You continue to use sarcasm and put-downs with me (and some others who dare to disagree with anything you say). I am not intimidated by you. My comment was intentional to say to you that, despite what you may think, you are not always correct. You have a lot to say that is very worthwhile but there's too much apparent arrogance in how you say it and how you respond to those who have a different view. I happen to believe that the coaches and the players are human beings deserving of respect, not some drill sergeant treatment. If that bothers you, I'm sorry.

If VCU continues this, it'll be very interesting to hear what Jay "The Wizard of Uhs" Bilas says about them tomorrow.

VCU is simply a good team. While I was watching the CAA tournament final when they were playing ODU I told my wife that both of those teams would wipe the court with us right now. Granted, that's not saying much considering how we we closed the season but they certainly looked the part of a tourney team so really surprised at all the backlash after the selection show.

It is just amazing they lost to James Madison, Drexel, Northeastern, and Georgia State, & finished 2 games below Hofstra in the CAA. They have really caught fire.

Imagine we lost to James Madison, Drexel, Northeastern, & Georgia State this year. This board would have a meltdown. Nobody would dare call us "simply a good team."

It doesn't change anything. But Friday night felt exactly like losing to Ohio. Clearly, VCU is not Ohio. Damn, they are impressive right now.

Bad losses happen. See what St John's did this year. The CAA is a decent conference.

ND vs VCU would be a really entertaining game. Let's hope ND can save face and get there. FSU is a really bad match up for ND, though.

Maybe that Purdue-Georgetown game would have been a good one after all. We both look like the Washington Generals against VCU.

Since Davidson I never root for upsets, especially upsets where the lower seeded team is a mid-major type. If you look at the aggregated "fan pain" of a mid-major losing to a 1-4 seed, for example, the 1-4 seed's fans experience more pain because of elevated expectations. It's a very utilitarian stance.
