Haven't seen USC, but from looking at their roster they have some size.

Anybody on this board who spends time this week talking about Purdue after what has happened in recent games and in recent NCAA tourney appearances should be banned from the board for their profound stupidity.

USC has Vucevic and Stepheson. Two quality big men. Bad matchup for us.

I saw USC live against Arizona in the Pac-10 Semis and they have at the objective level good height. Even though Arizona ended up winning USC played a competent, solid brand of basketball. They are at the matchup level, an obvious nightmare.

USC has 14 losses. If we can't match up with them, we belong in the NIT.

They won't be able to contain our guards. The weaknesses and strengths of the two teams are entirely different - which of course means that VCU will win!

USC has Vucevic and Stepheson. Two quality big men. Bad matchup for us. Conversely they have a bunch of inferior guards on paper -- undersized and pretty poor shooters. They also aren't a particularly deep team - maybe 6 a player rotation so that could work in our favor too. A lot of our matchup with them will depend on fronting Vucevic and denying him the ball like Williams did and boxing out Stephenson. I don't expect VCU to win. edit: If there was ever a time for JV to find his early season form a USC matchup would be it.

Boeheim has to be crapping his pants. Get to the weekend, and you play either a home state team or a team that you went 0-1 against this season.

Does anyone know if there are any tickets to DC games left for season ticket holders? In-laws are big Bucknell fans, and I'd love to help put some more fans in VC to root against UCONN.

Hell, I don't want to even fill out a bracket this year for fear of jinxing and looking past the first game. Maybe I'll do one of those pools where you re-pick each round.
