Uh oh, only two days to prep, and then Purdue, although Chicago is a good spot to go and I'm happy with Perdue.

I guess we can discuss the show in here. Duke is headed out West...that makes me VERY happy. Somehow Charlotte, North Carolina (Duke's 1st game) is in the West.

The pod locations have no geographic relationship to the regional locations... that was explicitly part of the reason for switching to pods, so they could protect multiple seeds without throwing them in the same region.

St. Johns has a tough road (Gonzaga then BYU).
That whole bracket has teams we've beat (Wofford, Utah State, etc)

Not that I'm complaining but I'm confused as to why us (6th seed) gets a play in game.
Shouldn't it be the top 4 (#1 seeds) getting the play in games?

USC has some size..VCU does not, but with the way they play..that game will be interesting.
think I'd prefer to see VCU.

I would switch with St John's in a heartbeat. USC has a very good big man and then if we win we have to play Purdue basically on the road. BYU has no inside game now with Davies gone.

As a #6 seed, we need to be singularly focused on the first round. And, as far as first rounds go, we got the best thing we could get...right down to the fact that those teams will be playing at 9pm on Wednesday, while we'll be gathering film on them.

Pitt's toughest game in their bracket might come in the round of 32.
Very happy with the Hoyas' draw.

Big Ten is completely overrated IMO. Inferior conference (knock on wood). And you are underestimating the prison baller, Jimmer Ferdette.

Also, can ESPN just run Dick Vitale's selection show soliloquy on a loop each year?
All you'd need to do is just dub over which ACC team he feels "heartbroken" for.

Oh, Jimmer is good but i'd much rather face a BYU team who lost their inside presense. We lose to teams that are physical and can rebound and both USC and Purdue are physical. And Chicago is home for Purdue.

Two games are your "traditional" "play-in" games involving the bottom teams that will be fed to the #1 seeds. The other two games involve something I've wanted to happen for a long time -- making the last four teams in the field play each other to get in to the top 64. The last several at-large teams are always going to be on the 11 or 12 line, meaning they matchup with a five or six seed.

They split the baby for TV purposes. 2 of the "first round" games are for 16 seeds, and the other two have the last 4 at large teams against each other. If you put 4 games of 16/17 seeds on TruTV, it would get the kind of ratings a test pattern would get.

St. Johns has a tough road (Gonzaga then BYU). That whole bracket has teams we've beat (Wofford, Utah State, etc) Tough road, but I think they would matchup well with BYU - lots of athleticism and Brownlee and Burrell could give the Cougars matchup problems. And it's not like Jimmer is going to guard Hardy (or anyone else).

people who are happy with having to play Purdue in the second round havent seen mr. moore and mr johnson. Lighting quick guards and a quality big man don't make me very comfortable
