BTB- Markel is TWO years away from being an average PG. Next year will be a disaster. Of course it is all IIIs fault, he waits years to give players PT.

Also, haven't seen it elsewhere but I like the minutes we got from Moses: 32 AYEGBA, Moses 2 reb 1 TO 1 Stl 6 Min How did he look though? Was he lost on offense or did he just defer on any shot opportunities? His 2 rebounds were defensive rebounds...was that due to good positioning? Was his defense solid? Nothing to remember about. He didn't embarrass himself. III put him because i think Nate go into foul trouble, it was toward the end of the 1st half, and Cincy's physicality was giving us problems inside, and Moses had the size to at least match up and fouls to give.

Think Moses went in also because Henry left the court limping while Julian needed a rest.

Think Moses went in also because Henry left the court limping while Julian needed a rest. This + foul trouble for both Nate and Julian.

I think there is too much over-analysis going on. To me, it seems pretty clear -- for the past several games, the Hoyas can't hit the broad side of a barn.
I have said it a number of times, Austin's outside shot has just completely gone MIA. This game was just another example -- Freeman 1-7 from 3, Clark 1-8 from 3, Thompson 2-3 from 3, team 4 -18 from 3. They hit some 3s, it opens some things up for our frontcourt, which is just not strong enough to make things happen on their own.
Not rocket science. What's happened to the outside shooting of Freeman (and Clark) this year, though, is one of the great mysteries of Hoyadom.

I do not think JT3 has handled CW's loss well at all. He seems in denial with the point guard by committee deal. I love JC, but come on. You have one true point guard beyond Chris and he is the future and, now, the present. Play him 30+ minutes and leave the other 4 in their own roles. Maybe you guys and the staff see something I don't because Markel has not shown me he cannot succeed. Let him!!

From my perspective at the game, Moses handle it well. For a guy who basically hadn't seen court the entire Big East season, imo. On offense it seemed as if he was really focusing on moving and setting screens. The turnover he had, imo, was a bad pass that was low while he was a little too far under the basket. UC collapsed on him and it bounced off his leg out of bounds.
On defense it looked like they played zone most of the time he was in. There were a couple times UC could have gotten alley oops behind him but had too much pressure on the ball at the time. I think it was Bennimon that reminded him to back up a little.
Speakng of pressure there were so many times where Hoyas had 3 guys run at guy with the ball that if it were a taller UC player he would have found guys underneath for easy dunks.
I would like to say one more thing before I return to keeping my 2 cents to myself...As I always say, I'm not a Hoya. I love the Hoyas. I post my 2 cents generally when UC comes up. I don't like UC purely because of the people I work with. They constantly ragged on the BE until they were invited. SO I root against them for that and other insane comments. While at the game I heard nasty comments about Hoyas, Coach Thompson, and even me as they "drove" by afterwards. I barely saw last 4 minutes of game because fans would not sit down and I refused to stand up.
I come to this site because you can't find Hoya news anywhere here in Cincy. I've enjoyed reading most of the posts. Even the "LIC" ones. Thanks to the Admin(s) for this site!

I respect you opinion, but the "fact" is that's not true. I eat and sleep point guard/guard play and haven't been wrong yet dude, lol. Thats a bogus statement and "assumption"..assuming does us no good and that's the truth....Markel TWO yeas away from being an average pg....LMAO, are you serious dude...He already is a decent point guard just needs more minutes...oh say can't you see, lol...
