I think we have a shot at it, but we have to catch the tournament at the right time since we're a streaky team more than anything else.
There is often some shuffling at the top at this stage of the year, and I am not sure that this year is any more unsettled than any other year. Texas is a team to keep an eye on and may have the easiest path in March.

God he whines so much. "I've beaten Rick Pitino before...I beat him before he got to Louisville...No one should take a snapshot of the last 6 games..." I can't even say everything that he said wrong/annoying, mostly 4min-8min. WAHH WAHH WAHH "I was the CoY in the nation 10 months ago and am I that much worse now?" WAHH WAHH WAHH Geez this presser makes me want to shoot myself. Plus he is just dissing all of the reporters there...completely attacked "Donna's" professional competence. How does he not break BE presser rules?

Boeheim may have beaten Pitino before, but, well, he didn't go undefeated against him prior to his arrival at Louisville:

I didn't watch or read any of this (and don't intend to), but I can't help wondering, why is Boheem so insecure? The guy's got a great record, he's won a national championship and he's in the hall of fame. He doesn't need to apologize or answer to anybody (at least not to the press). So Syracuse has lost 7 straight to Louisville. BFD. Is anybody claiming that represents the end of the world as we know it? He could certainly be a lot more gracious and a lot less whiny.

Take this for what it's worth: according to an acquaintance of mine, who was The Hoya's beat writer for the men's team at one point, Boeheim is, shall we say, a bit anachronistic when it comes to sports journalists who happen to not be male. It wouldn't surprise me if Boeheim didn't think "Donna" had any professional competence to begin with due to her Y-chromosome deficiency.

Boeheim was directing his ire at two Post-Standard columnists that get into the "sky is falling" attitude up on the frozen tundra. Syraucse has one senior and they're still going to be in the top 6-7 when all is said and done.
He's going to retire someday as the winningest coach in college basketball history and the local press regularly unloads on him as if he was Fred Hill Jr. He's earned the right to be tired of it.

Defending Magoo is like defending Hitler. Sure, he'll go down in history but not as a hero to the masses.

Wow, I've never seen a homer call like what just happened at the half of the Miss St-Kentucky game. As the whistle is blown on a foul at halfcourt, Brandin Knight lobbed the ball sideways across the court to a teammate while running toward the sideline.
UK awarded three shots for an "attempted three-pointer" in what would have been a no-shot foul, as it was MSU's sixth foul. And then coach Rick Stansbury was assessed a technical for arguing (and what on TV didn't seem to be arguing too outrageously) the ridiculous call.

When was the last time that a SJU/MU game was compelling? Seems important for both sides tonight.

There was no way Knight was trying to shoot there. If anything, he was trying to throw it up ahead to a teammate. If I was Stansbury, I'd be heated too. Your team busts its ass for 20 minutes, your team stays disciplined and out of foul trouble, and then out of nowhere your opponent is gifted 4 points right before the half for no good reason. Hilarious to see the MSU player who tried to shoot from halfcourt with 1.1 seconds left immediately turn around and jaw at the ref for not getting a similar call. If I were him I'd do the same thing. At some point you have to stand up for yourself and draw the line.

Well put -- somehow, I had managed to completely erase that from my memory until now.

i actually thought knight did a good job of selling it. i actually would still love to land Hood, so i didn't mind the coach's meltdown that followed.

Coastal Carolina loses. So much for them being another Top-50 win for us.

The Hall has some huge poser in the front row who's trying to copy Wild Bill from Utah St. So sad.

Why isn't the Villanova - SH game in HD?
Terrible.
Also: Marquette should strongly consider winning tonight.

Someone should tell Buzz Williams that pale, balding men should not wear light-colored blazers.
