I have a hard time getting excited about players who haven't played yet after hearing last year at this time that Moses was the best shot blocker in X amount of years that JT2 had ever seen.
We all know what kind of immediate results that produced. Or didn't for that matter.

Explosive speed, lateral quickness, long arms. Sounds like the kind of kid that could become an absolute terror defensively. rondo?

Thanks for the video, dunk. I couldn't find any earlier.
Btw, who is #24 on Winton Woods? He looks dominant...

Any chance that if we did land this kid he could come in a semester early ala Hollis? That seems to help the transition into our offense quite a bit.
I dont think that recruiting another guard is writing on the wall for Vee. He will be the 2nd G by the time a '12 recruit gets here. A senior. Playing next to Markel and hopefully ahead of Trawick and Freshman.

My question - does he need to reclassify to 2012? Sounds like the guy has good upside and if we lose a guard now, we're going to need another ball handler for this upcoming season. Unless Trawick can fit that bill but even still we would be awfully thin.

not going to pretend like i've seen him play a bunch of times, but Christon doesn't really look like a PG to me based on these videos.

With the current upswing, I think hoyas could do better. Although, he could be a stop gap and may not scare off a 2012 guard.

Christon would be highly coveted if he re-classified and anyone who is scared--shouldn't be considered. I'm all for taking guys and not waiting. They did the "selective" approach and it set the program behind. They are starting to get back to what they did when III took over-and that's smart. Rosters are always fluid in and you need to load up yearly and then adjust when you have to--always have names/plan in place.

I'm thinking more of a combo guard is sufficient as opposed to a pure point. I need to see more of he kid I guess first.

Description of his play this weekend at King James Classic from Scout:
Semaj Christon, PG, Cincinnati Knights – Now officially a member of the 2012 class, Christon will be one of the most looked at floor generals in the country. He has good size, great speed with the ball, and even knocked in a few jump shots. He needs to limit his turnovers some as he can get out of control at times, but his floor vision is undeniable and has the tools to really be an excellent college player.

Anyone with a scout.com account? Christon had update today--and all I could read is that he's reclassified to '12 and a "Big East School has a big leg up"--and I'm assuming that is Hoyas--but with recruiting--you never know.

Yep, Georgetown in the lead according to Scout with interest from West Virginia, Providence and Iowa. We seem to be very well-positioned here.
Running with the Cincy Knights on the AAU Circuit this summer. Should be deciding on a prep school soon.
