PG out of Ohio. Supposedly blowing up big time right now. Listing the Hoyas, West Virginia, and Cincinnati.
Most relevant quote from Scout.
"The one out of the region team showing him significant interest is Georgetown. Hoya assistant coach Kenya Hunter has been by to track his progress. While Georgetown is further from home than the other two schools, Christon says that isn't something that bothers him.
Brian Snow, Scout specialist, also mentioned elsewhere that if he stays in the 2011 class he will definitely play in the Big East, and if he moves to 2012 he'll be on of the most highly recruited PG's in the country.

Snow indicates this kid could end up in Scout's top 100 at the end of the season.

georgetown.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1201011Semaj Christon will lead Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods in regional playoff action Wednesday night at Xavier University, and it just so happens that Xavier recently offered the 6-foot-3 point guard. Averaging 21 points, six rebounds and five assists, Christon is also receiving recruiting attention from Cincinnati, Georgetown, Iowa and West Virginia. Georgetown watched him play over the weekend, as did Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery.

McAfffery is a heck of a recruiter, will be tough competition for this kid. Hopefully the relative positions of the 2 programs would give us a decent edge, but Mcaffery's teams play an appealing up-tempo style and he loves a quick, smart point guard.

Semaj also might reclassify for '12 class--so he's on radar for Hoyas for certain--just not sure what his situation is right now.
McCaffery/Iowa just missed out on Cezar Guerrero and are also on NYC guard Shaquille Stokes--along with MD Juco combo Anthony Hubbard.
Christon has consistently listed Hoyas, Cincinnati and WVU.

Was he purposefully given the name "James" backward? Or does his name have some other meaning / origin?

Our incoming class next year could be a full team:
PG - Christon SG - Trawick SF - Whittington PF - Hopkins C - Adams
Not sure where this leaves us with 2012 scholarships if we were to land 5 recruits for next season...
Totally wipes out any remaining scholarships for 2012. Means one or more of the recruits reclassifies to 2012, providing some flexibility, or that we have players planning to leave the program (or go off scholarship).

We have no scholarships remaining for 2011 as of now, but we have one remaining for 2012. The only way we can take another player in 2011 is if someone leaves, but regardless of what happens w/ the 2011 class, we have room for one more player in 2012.

I assume it has something to do with the Hoyas since it is on Hoya scout

We are currently Semaj's favorite.
Still unsure if he will reclassify or not.

6'3, athletic, can score the ball. but skill wise will need some polishing.
& think he has the potential to be a very good defender.

Is there a chance he comes for next year? Seems like he would have to reclassify for it to work at Georgetown given the scholarship situation.

If we were to bring in a guard with the 1 or 2 open schollys we have next year....am I correct in thinking that it needs to be an off-guard considering we lose Clark and the outside chance we also lose Hollis?.

I don't think we are likely to lose Hollis, and we would also have Trawick and Bowen to play the 2. I think we'll need a point guard or a combo.
