Cool event for Harry this past Friday. He got to go to practice with the Philadelphia Union and did the whole training session with the team.
Guys were nice as could be and really made him feel like one of the guys.
He hung in there well too and looked like a real pro.
Afterwards, one of the players told me, "your son is blessed, he plays like a Brazilian". I am not sure about the second part, but my little man is clearly blessed.

Thanks Tas. He started yesterday and seems excited about the year. He is muchore excited about his soccer team and impending birthday though so school is on the proper perspective.

I hope Harry's team gets cool jerseys like my nephews do on their teams. The little boy in me is a little jealous. We got really shoddy T-shirts back in the day. I'm very happy to hear all is normal and Harry has his priorities just right. Harry Saxa.

Harry turns 9 on Sunday. Thank God for my son and the chance to watch him grow up.
He got an early start on his birthday by going to see the soccer team take on Princeton Wednesday night. As usual Coach Weise and the team were wonderful with him. Coach gave him some tshirts and invited him on the field for post game stretching and team meeting.
Harry chatted with the boys, congratulated the goal scorers and was made to feel like part of the team.
This team is truly a great representation of what GU and its teams should be.
For good measure the team won 3-1 on three beautiful second half goals including a laser beam from Tyler Rudy.
Just a great night with a great group of people.

Thanks Elvado. Happy, happy birthday to Harry. I happened to catch a bit of the second on TV. I was surprised to see it televised. That must have been a great experience for your son. May his coming years be filled with more days and nights exactly like that. Best to you all.

Had a great day yesterday at the GU/Nova soccer game. Beautiful day and a great late winner from Arun Basilevic for a 2-1 win.
As usual, Coach and the boys treated Harry like one of the team and had him join them for the post game meeting where Coach allowed Harry to select the man of the match--he picked a very deserving Austin Martz.
Really looking forward to seeing them again at PPL next week for the BET semis.

Thank you, as always, for the update. I absolutely love that they're exclusively about cool experiences and normal kiddo stuff. Just as it should be. Harry Saxa!

Very cool event today. Harry is running the Alex's Lemonade 5K Lemon Run to raise money to combat pediatric cancer.
Is running side by side with his cousin who just lost her mother 10 days ago to cancer. The bravery and spirit of children are truly boundless.
PS. He finished in 37 minutes grinning from ear to ear. He is truly a miracle.

From Harry and our entire family, a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving to all of the fine folks on this Board who have been such an important part of our lives over the last 3 plus years.
Hope to see some of you on 12/20 at the Charlotte game.

The same to you and yours Elvado. I thought of Harry a number of times today when I saw my cousin's kiddos running around and remembered, because of Harry, to not ever take that for granted because not all kids are so lucky. I can't express how much I like that Harry can just be a kid because he's healthy. I hope you all had a great day.
