On behalf of Harry and our entire family, may everyone on this board enjoy a blessed and happy holiday season and the happiest and healthiest of New Years.
While we have only had the pleasure of meeting a few of you in person, this Board is an important part of our extended family and has been a pillar for us in Harry's recovery.
God bless and Harry Saxa!!!!

The same to you and yours Elvado. As always, thank you for keeping us all up to date with Harry's cool little boy life happenings. It means more to me than you may know and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. Happy Holidays and best wishes for a healthy and happy 2015 filled with continued love and blessings.

Four years ago today, we learned Harry had Neuroblastoma and I opened this thread.
Over these four years as God has blessed my son and put him on the road to good health and a normal childhood, this thread and the people in this board have been many things.
Each of you has been a source of comfort to a terrified father, a source of inspiration and encouragement to my son and our family, kind and generous friends to a little boy most of you have never met, and finally fabulous cheerleaders as my little boy has stared down cancer and told it to get lost.
Today, thank God, he is a healthy happy 9 year old who played indoor soccer Saturday before signing up for Little League.
Thank you to everyone here from a very grateful father and family.
HARRY SAXA

'Vad - I hope you realize that as much as the board may have given to you, Harry and your whole family, you all have given us even more. The opportunity to share in your pain and your fears - and more importantly, to be able to share in the joy and the triumphs in Harry's battle. To be humbled by the incredible courage and strength of Harry and your whole family. To be reminded, during each step of Harry's journey, how blessed we are to have our family and friends with whom to share our lives. And to shed tears, both of sadness and then of joy, simply over the ability of a young man to enjoy the normalcy of childhood. Bless Harry, Bless you, Bless your family. And thank you for allowing us all to share.

Frazier nailed it. And made me cry at work. Very well stated.
Best, as always, to Harry and your entire family. Happy Birthday Harry and many, many more!

Thanks to a heads up from Tas, I just watched a special the Vice Series had on HBO regarding new innovations in cancer treatment including specifically TCell therapy.
The doctor in the last segment dealing with children at CHOP is Harry's doctor. I highly recommend the special. It points to a day where no one will go through what Harry has already endured and that will be a miracle.

Just back from a 4 mile run to raise funds to fight colon cancer. My wife's cousin passed from this disease in October. Ran every step of the race side by side with Harry who loved Meg dearly. She was a constant visitor when Harry was in the hospital and one of the best people I have ever known.
He ran like the fighter he is and pulled his tired old Dad along.

On behalf of Harry and our entire family, Happy Easter, Happy Passover and just Happy Spring to all of the folks on this Board.
After some early am Bunny excitement, had the pleasure of hoops and catch with my son today.
I hope everyone here was as happy today as I was playing catch with Harry.

For anyone interested in the subject, PBS ran a three-part, Ken Burns documentary last week called " Cancer, The Emperor of all Maladies." It was quite well done, covered the history of cancer & cancer treatments, and the ongoing battle. Wins and losses. Where things stand today - basically, lots of progress, lots still to be done. We live in an amazing age in which someone like young Harry can benefit from medical science and health care insurance to fight off a previously unbeatable disease. Great work by his docs & all the researchers, and a great battle by Harry supported by his family. Every year there are more and more winners, but sadly there are still too many who lose their battles. The fight goes on. www.thirteen.org/programs/cancer-the-emperor-of-all-maladies/finding-the-achilles-heel/

That PBS special on cancer had a segment with Dr. Steve Rosenberg at NIH with his immunotherapy research. About seventeen years ago, my daughter was part of a clinical trial with Dr. Rosenberg at a point where her predicted life expectancy was about 7 months. She is well today thanks to his work and lots and lots of prayers.
