He can't want to go to Alabama for their offensive prowess. That is an ugly offense against a zone.

devonta...
You were at this game, and you saw this young team go on the road and go at it against a physical team full of upperclassman and win. Gtown is going to be good for a long time and you could be a part of that.

Pollard is an athletic freak, which fits what UA is looking to do, but he'd thrive in GU system playing both the 3 and some 4.

#12 Bama, @ home, 24 game home win streak, and favored by 7.5 But the Hoyas won the game... and pretty much controlled it all the way.
That game HAD to make an impression on Devonta... and other kids too. Noel?

I mean, yeah great for him to be there to see a Hoya win in that fashion..but can't forget that the kid Alabama is selling Devonta on being/following had a pretty damn good showing.

bottom line, he will be a better player as a hoya and have a better chance to win a championship. He could be part of something great here. Damn if we could just get a big man like nerlens we would be set

Kind of feel like he is not really trying to win if he takes going to Miss St seriously.

Kind of feel like he is not really trying to win if he takes going to Miss St seriously. You obviously havent seen there team if you believe that statement. If Sidney comes back next year they will be extremely deep with big time talent. They will be loaded with just as much young talent as GTown................

Uh, where is Renardo Sidney going? He's a 21 year old who can't stay on the floor and is averaging an inefficient 8 points and 5 boards a game while turning it over way too often. Take the name off the jersey and Tyler Adams could probably put up similar numbers right now (and I don't mean that as a compliment to Tyler). The other big guy for MSU (Moultrie?) is wayyy better.
But MSU has some good players for sure. Rodney Hood is going to be a star - he would have looked good in a Hoya uniform.

Devonta would fit pretty well in the role played by Moultrie, who is a senior next year.

He'd also look great playing alongside Markel, Whittington, Porter and Hopkins with Lubick, DSR, Jabril, Moses, Adams and others coming off the bench. Imagine that for a moment!!

I absolutely believe mean what I said and stand by my statement having seen them play 3 teams this year. beating what I believe to be two opponents that were a bit overrated (Arizona & Texas A&M) and not as good as the Memphis team that the Hoyas have to play again in a few weeks. AS for sydney after being removed from is dominant HS days for 2 years and not being able to get in shape enough to make the adjustment, at what point to people realize that maybe he is just not going to be the player that we all suspected? Combine that with Dee Bost leaving next year and the overwhelming lack of consistency or general siccess that Miss St has had over the last decade, I do not see why a kid would view them as a viable place to play. Period

Period Dont talk about stuff you dont know about, Renardo Sidney worked out all summer and for a month did three a days with John Lucas to get in shape and I believed that he called him the third most talented player to ever come through his gym....behind Kobe and Stoudemire (?). Here's the link: eye-on-college-basketball.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/26283066/31954681And the first time I saw them play (A&M I think), they looked like at minimum a round of 32 team to me. Dee Bost has SEC experience. Sidney is starting to do the small stuff and assume a less flashy role to get his team wins. Moultrie is a killer. Guards looked good too. That collection of players is good enough for a lot of people.
