No man is a hero to his butler...HH has been called every name in the book for 3-4 years....the latest is "troll". So your conclusion from being called "every name in the book for 3-4 years" is that everyone else is wrong and you're the only one who's right? I mean, it's possible. Just not bloody likely.

This is only Pitt's second true Road game of the year. The other one @ Providence was a very close win for them.
Panthers are Ripe for the Picking!

Time to right this ship, turn our season around and remind the conference that we can absolutely be a force this year.

For the record, I've been calling you a troll for years. It may be the latest, but it's hardly new.
I love people who act persecuted on message boards. The amount of ego and lack of perspective required to do that is staggering. Someone disagreed with me! I won't argue the points back! I will simply claim that you guys are being mean/restricting my first amendment rights/being a poopy pants!

In other words a book burning...what a genius retort!!!!! LOL I have no clue what the hell you mean by that. Princeton Offense is not a joke and if you really think that then you're a joke. 1 FF, 1 SW 16, 2 Regular Season Championships, and a BET championship. yeah let's dump this crappy system, we'll never go anywhere with it. I think this guy has proven with his repetitive negative posting (only after losses) over the years that he is, in fact, a joke.

Even if we are unable to pull off a W against Pitt, just playing better, executing better can have a huge carry-over effect to the upcoming, winnable games. A team knows, even in defeat, if they played with a rhythm and with a flow. As long as we can see that tomorrow night, I will be happy and optimistic about the next couple of weeks. I agree that it's not a "now or never" game to necessarily win, only a "now or never" game to play well, get austin out of his slump, and get back in our flow. I think the guys know that. I predict this desperation + great student section energy = a strong fight from the Hoyas tonight (if not a win).

While I really like the direction of this thread (well done SF and Frazier), I guess there's no need to pile on. Anyone know if this game is available online? My satellite is buried under a foot and a half of snow. I'm not looking forward to going on the roof but, if need be, there's a GEORGETOWN game today! Let's go Hoyas! HOYA SAXA!

What's the scouting report on Pitt? I know that they're the best offensive rebounding team in the country, but what else? How's their 3-/2-point shooting? What Pitt defensive weakness should GU attack? I'm asking because against WVU, the scouting report said that they were one of the worst defenses against penetrating guards. Guess what we didn't do as much as should have been done against them, and I don't mean the bull-dozing crap? We stuck to our stuff and Huggins took it away (and was grateful we didn't penetrate more).

Game is on ESPN3.
Pitt has the best offense in the nation. Their Defense is about as bad as ours.
According to the stats they don't defend the 3 well and they don't force turnovers, they don't get steals and they don't get blocks. Where as on the season we make 3s get the ball stolen turn it over and get our shots blocked. They also don't shoot FTs very well due to their post players.
They get a very high% of their point form 2pointers.

It's time to focus on our stuff, better shot selection, better passing and REBOUNDS. Regardless of the outcome, let's not give up on the season. A win is needed, but a better effort is absolutely required.
GO HOYAS!!! Beat the Panthers.

Our bigs did a great job of getting Cam Thoroughman and the Turk into foul trouble and then off the court, and for whatever reason we stopped attacking their frontcourt altogether when the bench guys who weren't good enough to start over Cam/Turk came in to replace them. I know Hollis had unwarranted foul trouble of his own, but why did we exploit that mismatch up until it succeeded and then stop altogether? Maybe we shouldn't even have a game plan for Pitt. Just throw the ball up and see what happens.

Nah, SF isn't a poopy pants, he's more of a doody head (thanks to Ivy and Bean, current reading material for my 7 year old). I can't believe we're actually a three point favorite tonight. I guess Vegas is looking hard at Pitt having played only at Providence.

I think the season turned at the Memphis game. My fiancee from Tennessee played hoops until late 40s and had never seen the Hoyas play. Her comments at the end of the first half were right on.
"Memphis is very young and they really took command of the boards. You will probably have trouble against big, experienced big men" ( actually we dominated the boards int he second half)
" Who is number 4 for Georgetown? With his wild drives he plays like a high scoring HS guard who thinks he is still playing against 6'0 folks"
In that game Chris seemed to move away from his previous great PG play and became a "scorer" again.
He has to get back to how he was playing earlier in the year if we are to do anything.

Wow, that is harsh Rooter SF is gonna come lookin' for you! Maybe Vegas just senses a big Hoya turnaround in the air - although the line will give Pitt more motivation on top of last year's pasting that snapped their home win streak.
