that was last november - it's a new year rooter and he is talking about next year's lineup whenever JC sits. my worry for WVU is Hollis. he rolled his ankle with a few minutes left in the game, didn't come back in. for obvious reasons I erased the tape but I have to think coach would have at least put him in on offense at least. in NO position to speculate, but I am def in a position to worry, cause we need his experience with the O and his active D I acknowledge I'm picking nits here, but if that was referencing next November's line-up, why is Austin mentioned? I'd love to see him get a special fifth year of eligibility, but I don't see that occurring.

I would think we would have seen or heard something if there was any significant injury(maybe on Twitter?!lol).

Did Hollis really roll an ankle my Daughter noticed that something was wrong with him after the missed take and for the life of me i had no idea why he wasn't in the final 2 mins. Now chris clearly was hobbled the last ten mins of the game which may have been the reason we went to the match-up vs any great change in strategy. Just sayin...

he definitely rolled the ankle pretty good....was clearly shown on the replay (made me cringe a bit)....while i won't speculate on the severity of the sprain...he clearly did something to it

So the massive amount of criticism for not having Hollis in may have been misguided? Say it isn't so!

So the massive amount of criticism for not having Hollis in may have been misguided? Say it isn't so! Never!! Anyone who isn't apoplectic with rage at every detail after a loss is either not a fan or just doesn't understand the game of basketball. S-M-R-T!

i am hoping an 11am start keeys some of the wvu fans away I think it's far, far more likely that our own season ticket holders "forget" that it's an 11am game and stagger in at 12:15 as usual.

*throws grenade*
Hollis didn't turn his ankle when he almost blew the Missouri game and did blow the Temple game. Coach should have benched him in those games and kept him in against St. Johns. Both Coach and Hollis need to be fired and expelled, respectively.
*grenade explodes*

In addition to hopefully seeing a desperate Hoya team on Saturday, I'd like to see a desperate fan base. I know the vast majority of students aren't likely to be back for the game, but us fans really need to step it up on Saturday. Come early. Come loud. Defend our house.
Here's to hoping the boys had a good week in practice the last few days and are chomping at the bit to get back on track.

i really do fear that non of the students will be back. do classes start on Monday? To get back for an 11 am game students would need to get back to campus Friday night - and I'd guess most will not come back till Sunday.
The team needs the crowd to help motivate them. We need to help them "protect the home court"

So, has anybody watched WVU this year / have an idea about what to expect tomorrow? I admit, I haven't. I can look at / recite kenpom stats, but not a lot of good that did the last coule outs.
What do we expect to see on the court tomorrow morning (leaving aside the fact that we'll be joined by legions of the worst fans in the conference in the stands . . . ugh, I truly dislike WVU fans' behavior)?

They scrap, play manic but erratic defense, take alot of perimeter shots - typical Huggie squad.

But There were a dozen or so people down at mcdonough picking up student tickets so we should have at least half of 1 student section.

Very good, albeit short, article by Tarik re tomorrow's WV game. It seems like he is really plugged in because he hit a lot of the points we discussed coming out of the SJU game.
Most interesting to me was his focus on Austin's lethargy and JTIII's voiced concern about Austin's energy level during the game. JTII was sufficiently concerned to get AF's blood work checked which came back normal.
Austin, I love you pal, but you gotta bring it every single night if you have any aspirations of playing on the next level. 82 games rather than 32. Hope this time off has re-energized the guys.
Also a welcome change -- a Wash Post beat writer focusing on the HOYAS for once in a preview article, rather than what Kevin Jones likes to eat for breakfast.

i am hoping an 11am start keeys some of the wvu fans away The 11 am start is brutal, particularly on a Saturday. Silly east coast bias... You have to feel for the folks who show up at the Bus Stop at whatever ungodly hour that is in CA.
