C'mon Illinois and UNC. I'm looking at a top 3 finish if they can win their games. I'm currently sitting in 6th place because Kentucky screwed me last night.

Hmm, I thought I had done a really poor job this year, but now I find myself tied with the legendary (in his own mind) Joe Hoya, so I guess I can't be doing so horribly after all. And what's with all of you people who didn't pick UNC to make the Final Four? This shows a clear absence of basketball acumen. I spit on all of you. And don't bother calling me an ACC lover, either. I loathe the ACC, but I know talent (well, at least on the offensive end of the court) when I see it.* * Written totally tongue in cheek (except for the loathing the ACC part), so please respond accordingly.

Yo, I picked Nova to beat UNC and it would have happened had Sumpter player/there hadnt been the worst travelling call ever.

Yo, I picked Nova to beat UNC and it would have happened had Sumpter player/there hadnt been the worst travelling call ever. You are absolutely correct. I regard Sumpter as Nova's best player, and I think, in retrospect, there is about a 70% likelihood that Nova would have beaten UNC with a healthy Sumpter in the line-up.

The highest in the country is 100, the highest in the HoyaTalk group is 97.5
Its simply what percentile you are in nationally, not the percentage of correct picks

Hey, all past champs are legends.
I may not win this year's group, but I won my only pool that had, um, "tangible benefits" associated with finishing in first. And I wrapped it up last Saturday.
As an aside: God I hate North Carolina.

I would first like to congratulate jackdog (who would have won had Illinois won last night) and aw my God (who picked the most games correctly).
As champeen prognosticatario, I hereby make the following pledges: I will not boast or pontificate about my selections, as I know I would have come in up the track had things not broken my way down the stretch (i.e., in the last 3 rounds; that's horse racing lingo, in case anyone is wondering). And I promise not to refer to myself as defending champion next year.
Finally, I know we have attempted to keep this quiet, but I am pleased that everyone agreed to put up $100 for this pool. Please send all checks c/o hoyarooter, P.O. Box 00000, Cayman Islands. ;D
