I think I had my worst first day since I have been completing brackets (about 20 years) - 10-6. And the lesson to be learned from the first day is definitely that the SEC stinks. Absolutely pathetic showing by LSU yesterday, against what may have been the last team in. I actually picked UW-M on a few of my sheets, but didn't pick UAB on any.

Without a doubt. I was planning on having my bracket fall apart as early as tonight, so I decided to work the jinx in some reverse favor of my own. We'll see how it works out.

I let spite get in the way of too many of my picks...I guess there's a lesson there.

I let spite get in the way of too many of my picks...I guess there's a lesson there. Happens to me alll the time. Duke's screwed my bracket up countless times (everytime they've gone past the sweet 16 basically). Another example-- I had Penn over BC (solely b/c I hate them and am still bitter about the Hoyas-BC game).

Bucknell can kiss my ass. No way in hell I'm going to school there next year after they ruined my bracket like that. Nothing like choosing your college based on rational things like the NCAA tournament results!!! ;D ;D

Nothing like choosing your college based on rational things like the NCAA tournament results!!! ;D ;D You know that's funny, because on the same day that I got my Georgetown acceptance letter, two of the other schools I had been accepted to were playing each other in the Final Four. And my freshman year at Georgetown, the other school I was accepted to won the National Title. Just a coincidence of course. I'll take the combo of Nat Burton and the School of Foreign any day over those other places.

stick a fork in me.....i'm done! i had wake winning. no defense and horrible shot selection ruined this team. they forgot about williams the last 5 minutes of regulation and both OT's. two very questionable charge calls and a carry call on downey in OT didn't help. credit to wvu for coming back and especially gansey for showing some major onions by drilling big shots in both OT's.

Blatantly not going to Wake Forest either now after they screwed me like this. No Champ left. No Runner up left. I was 28/32 for the First Round, now I've barely got a bracket left, it's just random teams in random games.

11th place after 2 rounds, w/ 6 of 8 Elite Eight teams, 3 of 4 Final Four teams and my champion and runner up still left works for me!! ;D ;D
Now Nova just needs to make it to the Final Four and I'm set.

Talk to me when you get into the third place tie. Now, as a Hoya who used spite for some of his picks...how the (bleep) could you possibly put Villanova in the Final Four?

Talk to me when you get into the third place tie. Now, as a Hoya who used spite for some of his picks...how the (bleep) could you possibly put Villanova in the Final Four? For some reason, Nova doesn't quite make the "I hate you die" level of hatred, (Duke, Cuse, Wisconsin and BC are the sole college BB teams occupying that level) which means they didn't override my need to pick against UNC (the people's choice-the people are stupid, therefore, I always pick against their choice) and my hatred of Gay and Villaneuva and his lack of hair (both of whom have achieved "I hate you die" status) That and Kansas sucks a lot and had no shot of getting past UConn and Florida chokes early every year. So, yeah, that's my system--It makes sense in my head.
