Im not able to watch this game, so take these comments with a grain of salt. If Coach is not playing Vee or some of the younger guys hes a fool. Vee has earned more minutes anyways. He can be an important player for us down the stretch. Baffling. No, Vee and Markel were both playing. Just not together.

Sick pass by Chris. Just sick. Austin hasn't been finishing this game / last game like he normally does. Contested layups never seemed to be a big deal for him prior to today / @ Temple Agree. But it will return. I'm sure it will. Hopefully that sick dunk in traffic near the end of the game gets him back to automatic ;D

It's probably better to actually have the facts before posting outlandish criticism. Abraham Lincoln had a saying that covers that.

He can be an important player for us down the stretch. Baffling. What's baffling to me is that we nearly win by 30, and people not watching the game are criticizing. Really? The guy has over a .700 win average in the toughest league, and hes a fool? The ARM chair coaches here are ridiculous.

For the last 5-8 minutes of the game while Wright and Free were in they were coasting. Not working the offense, a lot of 1 on 1s, lots of turnovers. How is that better than getting them some rest and getting Vee and Markel in there together? Look at how awesome the last 2 minutes were with Moses, Bowen and Vee in there. That was so exciting for me to watch and I'm sure they were elated to be running the show. Why we couldnt have had 5-10 minutes of that vs. 2 is beyond me. I didn't think they were coasting, I think Freeman was trying to figure out how to get some offense going since he had a pretty sloppy/bad game. And Freeman getting some confidence is much more important to our season than Markel and Vee playing 5-10 minutes together. I'd rather have Markel and Vee develop chemistry with Wright and Freeman since thats who they most likely will be playing with this year when they are on the court. Its pointless to play lineups that you won't play against tougher competition. Yes, it makes it more exciting to the fans, but its not going to help us down the road. We have a lot of things to work on, and we still need to develop better offensive chemistry. Keeping Wright and Freeman out wouldn't have helped our issues.

Vee looked great, except for that missed mid-range where he shot with open legs a la Jordan.

I meant foolish. Sounds like a great win though. We certainly have a great chance at going deep in the tournament. We seems more mentally tough this year. Can be a special year.

He can be an important player for us down the stretch. Baffling. No, Vee and Markel were both playing. Just not together. Everyone got minutes - 14 got paying time and 13 scored. Really a great effort on both ends against a decent team. Coach just said they spent the last 2-3 days working in practice on defense ONLY. My only pet peeve is coming out of the under 8 timeout in the second half we are up by 20+ and we're still playing 4 starters. I think thats a fair criticism.

Moses and Vee connected on the same pass-screen-pass play twice, but from different sides of the floor. Moses understands it! This is why they need run now. Builds their confidence...
Adrian Branch: "Great feel, greal feel."
Beautiful stroke from FT. Got a steal too.
VERY SMALL SAMPLE, but he's ahead of where Vernon was coming in.

Hopefully We can get off the U. Need some national coverage. 1. ESPNU is national - whether you can get is is dependent on your local cable carrier. 2. If I'm running ESPN, I'm not putting Appalachian State on either of my first two channels opposite the NFL.

I think Coach wanted them to work on keeping their intensity and focus, and finishing when we have a big lead. I don't think he is too worried about getting the bench minutes just for the sake of minutes; still, he got some positive moments for Moses, Aaron and Ryan, will help keep them working hard in practice

I don't have any problem with the run Moses got today. He was put into a situation where he could get his feet wet and excel. Both happened. He'll get more run going forward. Loved his FT stroke.

What a fun game to watch. Masterpiece by Chris. That behind-the-back pass to Austin was super awesome.

No, Vee and Markel were both playing. Just not together. Coach just said they spent the last 2-3 days working in practice on defense ONLY. Thank God. They shouldn't work on offense again until January. At least someone's taking notice of our issues and not blaming it on lack of intensity/effort/focus. Rotations and communication were improved today, although we still had some of our trade mark break downs that App St wasn't good enough to expose and punish us for.

Agree with Easy Ed.
From the center position today:
6-9 FG, 6-8 FT, 12 rebs (3 Off), 1 A, 4 TOs, 1 block, 18 points
That is quite satisfactory.
By the way, the official box has CW with 12 assists.
27 assists on 36 made hoops.
13-15 from the line.

I really enjoyed watching that one. Great effort by everyone--nice to see Nate have a game like that especially. I, too, was impressed with Moses in his quick opening action.....very mobile and seemed to have a good idea of what he was doing out there. No complaints from me--we played a team we should beat relatively easily and we blew them out. We had a great effort through the whole game, played well on both sides of the ball and got the younger guys some good run. One more tune up before the Memphis game......then the fun begins!
